I am tracking this mod set to add to my new STEP SRLE build... is there merit to using this instead of ASIS/OBIS? or is there a "good combination" (because best is likely a matter of opinion.

Obis is way different, and totally usable with Erkils mods. Obis bandits are tougher and more varied than the populated series. Obis can add potions to its npcs. I would drop ASIs in favor of this mod. ASIs could use some love in updating it.if you want serous hell on skyrim consider sot.
As far as the patch requests, I always thought what was missing from this mod was OBIS integration. Like instead of placing its own generic bandits, place OBIS bandits. I think that would be the #1 most awesome patch you guys could implement. Same goes for the dungeons mod and RotE.
For example, around the fort near Riften, 3 horses without riders, followed by 3 raiders, is more of a mess than a challenge. If possible, remove those horses, they spawn always without raider and first than any bandit group.
Also compatible with Obis? I know silly question. But description doesn't give and answer to this.
Does obis simply overwrite the changes? Does this multiply the spawns Obis introduces? Or does it add regular bandits which will get slaughtered by Obis bandits -_- which would be weird.
