About this mod
Re-built and upgraded the ruined Whiterun farmhouse near the Western Watchtower.

The house is a much larger upgrade from the original ruins. I used an L-shape design, which appears to have almost as much square footage as the two-story basement house designs. Because of its size - and to avoid the original respawning chest that was under the floor of the original ruins - the house is partially built into the side of the hill. But that works, as you can easily get up onto the roof for a 360 degree panoramic view. I then got the idea of adding a bench on the lower roof at the front of the house. (NPC's may eventually "hop" up there.)
I used Hod and Gerder's inside from Riverwood. I thought it well decorated, and frankly at this point I cannot do better than Bethseda. I made the containers safe (I think there were only two unsafe), made static containers usable, and added another barrel or two and sacks. Also a single weapon rack and a new chair by the fireplace. Rather than adding bar stools, I used counter lean markers in front and behind the bar, for NPC's. Also made the mead barrel on the bar counter usable by NPC's.
Outside I added a walkway in front of the house. Then got the idea to use a walkway to make an even platform for the smithing. Added more containers outside in the smithing area and by the front door. Wood chopping block is in backyard.
Then decided to try a campfire with cooking spit and a couple of chairs. Placed a warm-hands idle marker by the fire.
Hay bales and water trough for any horses. I see this place more like a warriors horse ranch than a farm (See my Rorikstead Farmhouse for that.)
NAVMESH: Inside is basically Bethseda. I only tweaked it around the added chair by the fireplace, so hopefully NPC's will use the chair rather than walking into it.
Outside is also Bethseda. I did not do further navmesh. NPC's navigate pretty well. Only potential problem spot will be the campfire and cooking spit, where NPC's may walk into the campfire or get hung-up on the spit. These items sit on top of a large navmesh triangle, and right now it would be a problem for me to navmesh around the fire and spit and still keep everything connected and working properly. (No unwanted barriers.)I

CAUTION: The original chest outside in the back yard is UNSAFE!

Added:
- Map marker for fast-travel
- Hay bale in back yard to mark further horse parking
- My BIG addition - a Hawk nest on roof with flying/nesting hawk. Really liked that from "Legend of the Eagle's Nest" house mod.
File name is the same so should not have to worry about containers or anything.
