This works perfectly fine in SE. Just convert to BC7 if you're concerned. You can do that with paint.net or CAO. Don't buy into misinformation. Here it is:

No problemo. Make sure you let people know that it works, there are certain ignorant 'influencers' spreading nonsense in the comments and that makes newbies reluctant to download.
Did what Alkohol said to do. Went to get the Horn on the first early part of High Hrothgar and diverted up the snowy mountain before the first encounter of Snow Trolls and reached the word of power monument with the dragon on top and it eventually crashes into the ground right past me. What were Bethesda's original artists thinking with the vanilla crash-channel effect, I don't know, but the effect of its replacement in this mod is way higher than I thought it was going to be. CAO is hilariously easy to use.

Cool mod! After the first dragon crash landing ( Lydia, some guards and I did try to help him, but arrows weren't such a good idea after all XD), i saw this horrible texture and I remembered i read something about that before. and there it is! probably the only mod for that, by the way. Thanks! ^^
