About this mod

House just north of Helgen and very near the Helgen escape tunnel. Originally mostly an empty shell but I now made progress so basement has beds for 5 followers.

Permissions and credits
My first mod from scratch. Placed near Helgen between Helgen and the Helgen/Riverwood crossroads, mainly because I do not see much there. When taking the photos I realized that the house was much closer to the Helgen escape tunnel than I thought. So if starting a new play you can stop there before continuing on to Riverwood.

And you might want to stop. Dragonborn had a life before being captured by the Imperials and tossed into the wagon heading to Helgen and execution. He/She had a house under construction and a few items:

- A single horse. I placed two hay bales to park horses, and do not currently plan a stable as they take up too much room. Especially with me being a horse person and insisting that all of my followers have horses. Look for the horse by the hay bale in the trees. This horse may come in very handy to return to Helgen for the loot you stored after your escape.

- Some gold to buy your first horse. Then I decided to add a horse (see above.)

- A weapon on the crafting table. This weapon has been one of my main killing weapons in my play throughs.

- Smelter, tanning rack, anvil, grindstone and work bench.

- Two outside hay pile beds for followers near the fire pit. Also extra food for the horse(s).

- A regular bedroll on the hay bale near the trees. (Not shown in photos.)

I am not sure what might "go down" in this area, but whatever happens - and as the most invincible fighting force in Skyrim - Dragonborn can handle it and consider it another payday.

NAVMESH: I navmeshed inside and outside on the porch. As with my other attempts, I find outside navmesh problematic. If you have a problem with your followers leaving the porch, just try fast traveling to your house location. To get followers into the house it is best (for some reason) to have them on the porch near the door.

WORK IN PROGRESS: I will undoubtedly add things as I play and feel them desirable. One thing I wanted to try was a lesser dependence upon containers and more reliance on tables, shelves and open crates to manually place items. I find that first person view in walk mode works best for picking-up and placing items, and that they usually "stick" after the second time.

You might try finishing the house to your taste using the Jaxonz Positioner or a similar mod. As it is now, much of the inside is an empty shell.

REQUIREMENTS: Nothing required, insofar as I know.

UPDATE: 1/9/16

-Adjusted interior navmesh so NPC's use stairs to basement better.
-Added some lighting sources
-Added enchanting and alchemy in basement
-Laydown markers for NPC's

Latest pics up front.

UPGRADE: I renamed the file, so save, go into god mode and gather your loot, and save.

UPDATE: 1/4/16

Made some progress, especially on basement. Five follower beds. Out of my house trilogy (Rorikstead Farmhouse, Helgen House and L-Shape Whiterun House) I consider Helgen House as my follower barracks. Latest pics up front.

Also changed interior lighting to more subdued; used Helgen Keep theme. Enhances firelight FX.

INSTALLATION UPGRADE: I did not change file name and removed first file, so containers should be safe if you have been using this mod.
