Please note if you are using Mod Organizer 2 your profiles folder must be in the MO folder as old versions of MO were in order for MOO to find it.
Future plans coming soon(ish): - Updating for Mod Organizer 2 custom profiles folder support - Support for multiple installed mods that use the same installer
Has anyone had the issue with the Hidden Profile not being recognized when you unhide the profile it i.e the program states you have hidden mods not attached to a profile? This issue is a real deal breaker 4 me as I use this feature to control Enderal and other major expansions etc ...
Before hiding I have created the custom categories as per the guidance, on examining the hidden folders prior to the unhide request the MOO ini file is present so it makes no sense that I can see, running MOO as admin ..
As I've just got into Skyrim again I'll take a look at revamping MOO with support for Mod Organizer 2 as well. I'm not 100% sure what this issue is but I'll look into it.
What version of Mod Organizer are you using? Currently MOO will only work with Mod Organizer if the profiles folder is in the MO folder like the old versions.
Hi been away for a while, thanks for your response.
MO is v1.3.11 from the Nexus. MO is installed with no folders being moved or customized. MOO is installed as a folder within the MO folder. Profiles are in their default location under the MO directory.
The workaround is to actually unhide the profile folder in explorer when the error occurs and this fixes it but of course this kind of defeats the purpose of using MOO.
trying to install I get..." Please locate Your Mod Organizer executable so MOD can synchronise with it."...then has a greyed out executable box that I think your ment to brows too...but browsing to skyrim folder dosent do anything...does anyone know what iam ment do do hear to get this installed? thanks
MOO itself is just a single folder that can be deleted if you don't want to use it. All installed mods are handled by MO and the zip files for those mods are tidied by MOO into a single folder called "archives" by default in your MO folder. Deleting MOO should not affect your installed mods, downloads or archives.
There are two features I miss from NMM, that are not present in MO. Is there any thought to include something similar to these?
1. The ability to categorize downloaded mods that are not installed. 2. The ability to check all mods for updates, not just those that are installed.
The main reason for the first one is that once you have several thousand mods downloaded, it becomes very difficult to find anything when you are looking for mods for a certain style of playthrough, unless you happen to remember the mod names.
The reason for the second is that if a mod author updates a mod there is no way to tell in MO if you don't have that mod installed.
Both those features involve mods that are not installed and for me one of the best features of Mod Organizer is that you can install every mod but choose to enable/disable them for an actual modset. Installing mods that aren't actually used is only a slight increase in hard disk space, but the benefits include keeping them up to date, pre-configure them, categorize them and have them in the right load order for when you do actually wish to enable them.
I use Mod Organizer for years now and I don't know what's going on, but since I use the latest version of Mod Organizer (installer) or even the previous version and whatever I do with, few seconds later... BOOM!... my computer just crash randomly, every time!

Some people on the Internet said that it must be a problem with the Bluetooth, but the problem is that I do not have any Bluetooth or Bluetooth Driver, or whatsoever. I tried to fix the .Net program, I did a sfc/scannow, everything was just fine. I also tried to reinstall everything (Mod Organizer, TES5edit and LOOT) - My computer is pretty clean (I assure you) and yes, it happens ONLY WHEN I USE Mod Organizer. So my question is: What the hell is going on and how can I fix this HUGE problem, please? I'm literally AFRAID to use Mod Organizer now because I do not want that Mod Organizer "destroy" slowly but surely, my Windows 10 and of course, my computer too!

Hi, this is not the Mod Organizer page and I'm not the author of it. This is a third-party utility for Mod Organizer so unless your problem relates to my utility I'm afraid I cannot help you.
Mod Organizer's page is here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1334/?
Hmm you do know mod organizer is open source? You could always just start your own branch of Mod Organizer and call it what ever you want... as long as you keep source code open.
Mod organizer is under GPL license... https://tldrlegal.com/license/gnu-general-public-license-v3-%28gpl-3%29#summary
Might be a cleaner way instead of having multiple applications just suggestion.
Heck you could become contributor to the Mod organizer project and request a pull of your code. That way your code could get implemented into the actual mod organizer.
Yes I'm aware of that but this program started as a little helper tool for myself then grew a little since then so I decided to release in case anyone else would find it useful. At the time it was easier to just create a little utility to change a few ini files than to start meddling with MO's code.
As for multiple applications, MOO can actually run fine through MO just like any other executable (such as FNIS) without closing it but the issue I had was MO doesn't refresh the mods installation paths when an executable is run through it. This can be fixed by right-clicking MO and refreshing mods but I decided to just put a big ol' warning sign recommending MO be closed while MOO is run.
Hopefully though someone will implement this into MO itself but until then I hope MOO can help some people have a tidier downloads folder.
Thanks for the great functionality, I really enjoy having things matchup nicely. There was a slight hiccup though, in that the non-plugin mods that I have were put in the wrong order after using the tool. For example, I had my texture mods in: SeriousHD -> Noble Skyrim -> Project Parallax Patches-> Vivid Landscapes. After using the tool, I had them in the reverse order and everything looked not the way I had wanted. I also had issues with mods like my tree bark texture, realistic aspen trees, and Skysight bigger trees all being out of order.

If anyone needs any extra support I check here quite regularly, unless the above date is quite old.
I will reply to any questions here or private messages as soon as I can.
Happy modding!

Any chance of a fix for this please? Or the source code so I can try to fix it?
Cheers

I backed everything up, did the deeds and...well...it works! Perfectly! You have saved me **gigabytes** of space on my SSD drive.
Awesome! Thank you!
