2016/11/11 - Hearth Craft 1.0: See change log for details.
Some highlights: More Everything: Added more placeable buildings (farmhouses, orc longhouse and hut, igloos), more furniture (fine, noble, dwarven, orc), apiaries, archery targets, crystals balls, skull totems, and more. Harvestable Piles: Craft placeable piles of wood, ingots, ores, and more. "Pick Up" the pile to return it to your inventory, or "Use" it to take it apart and return its components to your inventory. Placeable Vanilla Clutter: Where appropriate, Hearth Craft will swap out pieces of vanilla clutter for its own placeable versions, which can then be dropped as normal or placed using Campfire's system. This feature can be toggle on or off in the MCM. Initially, the only items affected by this are the various baskets found around Skyrim. Chandeliers & Wall Shelves: I've added placeables which go on the walls or ceiling, such as lighting and shelves. The actual placeable is a small, invisible, coin-shaped object on the floor below, so if you need to pick it up or move it, look down at the floor below. Using Survival Skill: Craft Item, you can swap one of these for one positioned higher or lower.
The biggest change in 1.0.1 is that snow and rock detection has been added, so objects like igloos, snowmen, and rock cairns will only be craftable (using Survival Skills: Craft Item) if the appropriate resource is available.
A handful of new placables were also added including a Cooking Stand, a travel Shrine to Talos (thanks Teabag86), and a number of different Snowmen (based on the snowman in Insanity's Christmas Resource Pack).
Finally, although I don't recommend removing any mod mid-playthrough, I have added an uninstall function to Hearth Craft's MCM which will remove any records from Campfire's FormID Lists added by Hearth Craft.
Also, check out Rusey's "Nightmare Before Saturalia" update for Tentapalooza! In addition to a necromancer-themed conjurable tent, a new storage option, and a new follower tent, she's also added festive placeable gifts!
NOTE: As a consequence of switching some Global Values to injected records, Hearth Craft's MCM toggles may not function if you update to 1.0.1 on an existing game.
I have an issue with the craftable bookshelves: whenever I try to use one I that I crafted, it says "someone else is using this". Did I miss something?
Tables, shelves, and crates (among other things) are intended to be Statics -- as they are in the vanilla game. A consequence of using Campfire's system, however, is that I had to add everything as Furniture, which meant that these objects have a "Use" option, even though it doesn't actually do anything (and gives the "someone else is using this" message when used). I'm currently considering a few different options for dealing with this in the future.
THIS, thank you, i have been troubleshooting why i have been unable to open a crate, turns out its not storage... perhaps you could add a message that says "this item is decorative and unusable." or somthing? probably wont happen though seeing the last update was in 2017
Sure, when I get around to updating the SE version, I'll update this as well. I don't have a time frame though; too many projects and not enough time for modding. I can probably just remove the "Use" prompt now; I was completely new to Papyrus scripting when I started making this, so that was beyond me at the time.
Hi I downloaded this mod and was having lots of fun with it, but recently I'm having some issues.
First every time I put dawn a candle horn the game crashed I solved it by using a NIF healer on the NIF file related to the candle horns, and now it works as intended... but...
Now every time I enter the forge menu and hover the mouse cursor over any cristal ball items, the game crashes, I tried to heal the NIF again but it didn't work, I checked for conflicts in TES5Edit wich didn't show anything
I tried to reinstall the mod, clean my save files, check integrity of files via steam. I don't know what else to do
Edit: Just tried to start a new game... same problem
Edit2: I just deleted the "CrystalBall_Blue_inventory.nif", "CrystalBall_Green_inventory.nif" and"CrystalBall_Red_inventory.nif" now the model of the object wont show up in the crafting menu, but at least it is not crashing anymore, I didn't try to craft the crystal ball items to see if they work, but if the problem was the "inventory" files then it should work properly now
You've probably figured out by now that this was caused by attempting to place items you found using AddItemMenu that aren't actually craftable unless you cheat, because they're broken and not supported.
create version where you are able to place template for hearthfires homes so that people can build a whole new house from the ground up, except using your placeable furniture inside of course, campfire was created for a more immersive experience right? whats more immersive than building a house from wherever you want how ever you want?
I don't think a lot of you understand that Hearthfire homes are pre-existing structures that are invisible until you build the components. Modders can't just lift that feature and put it wherever the player wants. There's a very primitive version of what you're looking for in the mod Woodcutter, but I doubt that's supported any longer.
So this adds its own workbench instead of using the ones that already exist in the game? Welp, that ruins it for anyone who modded the places where this mod adds its own things. Could have just made it so we can create stuff without working benches, like with Campfire.
The Hearthfire workbenches use a completely different framework that don't produce inventory items, but rather static items that are already hardcoded in the game, but only appear after they've been crafted. This mod's workbenches produce actual inventory items that use Campfire's placement system. You're trying to compare apples to oranges.
There IS a mod that allows Hearthfire workbenches to craft inventory items, but even that mod is compatible with this one (just a lot of redundant items with different recipes).
just a question since i'm considering downloading, is there a way to mark the places we make? i want to make an area that looks kinda like one of the screenshots, but i don't want to lose it.
Hi, whenever I use this mod it crashes when I shop at the general goods store, specifically Belethor. I haven't tested it with other merchants yet but as soon as I remove this mod it suddenly works.
EDIT: Reinstalled and it works now, might've been an item in their inventory causing the crash.
Hello! I was wondering if it's okay for Hearth Craft to overwrite certain textures of the mod Unique Shops and Stores? Should I load HC before this mod, even though LOOT tells me not to? Thanks a lot :)
