To the best of my knowledge, the original HDT Tails Wearable mod is gone - and since it's required for this one to work, unless you already have it, there's no way to use this mod either.  :/  I'll leave it up for the time being as a backup for anyone who still uses the original mod (like myself).

This is recolor of textures used for arctic, blond and red foxtails in deadzone45's HDT Tails Wearable.  You need the original HDT Tails Wearable mod from http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58165/? to use these recolors.  I made this for version 1.5.1 of HDT Tails, but it probably works with other versions.  The main file has the three recolor options, install it after HDT Tails Wearable to overwrite the textures.  If you only want one of the colors, you can use one of the optional files instead of the main file to only overwrite that one color.

There are three versions of the red tail color.  The 'normal' is included in the main file, the 'brighter' and 'contrast' versions are optional downloads.  You can use 'brighter' or 'contrast' version together with main file, in that case install the optional file after main file, and let it overwrite the red tail from the main file.

Any of the optional files can be used alone without the main file or you can mix and match them, but you can only have one version of the red tail (they overwrite same texture, so whichever you install last, will be the one that works).

Same textures are used for both 5-tail and single foxtail, so installing any of the colors will affect both, although I only posted pictures of the 5-tail version.  I'm using realistic lighting overhaul, and realvision ENB, so the colors in the pictures will look a bit different than they would be in vanilla game.

Installing:

1. install http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58165/? first
2a. download and install fomod installer file, select options you want installed from menu - for either 1.5.1 version or SMP 0.5beta
2b. instead of main file, you can still use 1.1 version separate files, but they ONLY work with 1.5.1 version of original mod
3. (optionally) install the floaty fix from 'update' file and let it overwrite files - this is ONLY for 1.5.1 version of original mod

uninstalling:

1. in MO simply uncheck/remove the recolor mod.  newer NMM should support this too.
-   if that doesn't work, or you installed manually, either manually restore foxred.dss, foxblond.dss foxpink.dss and foxarctic.dss from original mod, or just reinstall The original mod.

Credits go obviously for deadzone45 for the HDT Tails Wearable mod - these textures are just simple color shifts, and are useless without that mod.

- wrapped all recolors into fomod installer, included support for SMP 0.5beta tails.  When picking options in fomod, make sure to select options for the correct version of original mod.  Installing wrong versions will not break anything, the files will simply do nothing except take some space from your drive.

- floaty fix is still separate download because it really shouldn't be needed - and will not work with SMP version of the HDT Tails.  using latest XP32MSE should fix any floaty issues.  I'll leave the fix up for now anyway in case someone for some reason insists using old skeleton with 1.5.1 version of tails.

- added arctic and blond tail recolors.

- added two versions of black foxtails, they turn the PINK foxtails into BLACK.  Not included in main file, they are a separate download.  The name in-game is still 'pink' but when worn it's colored black.  The difference between light and dark is small, which one looks better may depend on ENB you use (if any).  Previous pictures were taken with RealVision ENB, but I changed to Vividian ENB lately, so black tails are pictured with it.

- added update file to fix 'floaty' tails of 1.5.1 HDT Tails Wearable.  Credits as before for deadzone45 - the fix is just a small adjustment for original files to attach them at different spot on wearer.

Note that you CAN use the update alone, you don't need the recolor for it.  Just install the original 1.5.1 HDT Tails Wearable from http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58165/ then install the update from this mod and let it overwrite files.  It should work on ALL of the tails, not just the foxtails.
