I have questions. - will the people in the caste be useful or become follower(to change clothes at least)? they were just "hmm" "yes" "need something?" -will the guards protect me? (last time they were just looking and doing nothing.)
this mod is very important for me because I really want a castle in that location. I like it has many mannequins that I can show my own weapons and armors. I am asking those questions because I am moving my house and my computer that has skyrim is not with me. I will be able to test your update in Jun or july 2019. so this is very long time. thank you for your work.
I have not added much to the original authors work mostly just corrected the bugs as best i can. The Npcs are all generic but the sellers do work now. I do have a vague plan to update the castle but i have other skyrim projects at the moment.
Hello agerweb, thank you for repairing this magnificent castle, using your mod as a master i have given every cell a lighting overhaul with a full day/night cycle, added a kids room with 6 beds and a bathroom, as well as a bathroom off the main bedroom and increased the number of bedrooms from 4 to 8, added a new cell called "castle grey generator" that is an excuse for powering the dwemer lighting in the throne room, as well as a few other small things. It's not quite finished yet and when it is i'm not sure whether to publish it or not, if i do i will ask your permission as it uses your update as a master and wouldn't be possible without it.
That's no problem you have my permission; to limit the number of esp's required why dont you merge your new esp with my update. Just give me credit on your page and give the link to get the Cleaning Guide.

Ok thanks agerweb i have merged the esp's and will pm you when i publish, it's a short while off yet just decided to add a dynamic treasure room, will probably add an artifact display room as well :D
Holy cow I was so worried I did something wrong in the editor or cleaning process but i followed all your steps to the t and now everything (minus that dang buggy library lol) is working REALLY REALLY WELL. Bless you <3
Friend, thanks a lot ! Not only you've made (my day) me not delete Castle Grey, you fixed all the conflicts I had with it and my quests! While cleaning it, it felt like reconstructing a forgotten or destroyed Castle, hehe. Thanks
Bit of a petty complaint, but I don't have Microsoft Word, so I can't open the tutorial without finding a new program. Readmes are always simple txt files, because they are nearly universal.
It's not really a readme because being a step by step tutorial it's got a lot of pictures in it, I actually don't have Microsoft Word (it costs money) I did it in Open Office (it's free) so you could use that.
I can convert it into a pdf file and upload it, there are plenty of converters online.

Könnte mir jemand vielleicht die esp cleanen, vielleicht habe ich ja was falsch gemacht, denn Google übersetzt es ja nun nicht gerade präzise. Ich wäre demjenigen mehr als dankbar. Möchte mir doch so gerne die Burg bzw. Schloss angucken.
What's the status of this mod at the moment? I see the inherent problems with doing much more with it than this update, but was curious if I could get some more information as to what the mod breaks without this update. I've never had a problem getting a follower into the castle as it is and was just wondering what other things it is supposed to break in the vanilla game.
The use of the aaamarkers cell (which should never be edited) and references to E3demo objects introduced the E3Demo bug to saved games this can cause problems with the thief guild and brotherhood quests (and cause other random events). These vary from no problems to many; so you may have been lucky - typically if you haven't already started the Thief's guild ql it won't start.
The external navmesh was not done so the existing vanilla navmesh from the top of the mountain was in place, so NPC's would try and walk through walls.
Also the Armoury which used the aaamarkers cell had a dragon in it.
The essential change was to delete the existing Armoury Cell (returning aaamarkers to its vanilla condition) and replace it.
As far as this mod is concerned I will add packages to the npc's to make them do something other than stand around for 24hrs a day.
