I have problems with black/dark marks or clipping, glitches or whatever to call it, on the sides of the helmets. Both sides. Both genders. Right side is usually worse than left.
These helmets are so cool, especially the viking helmet(s) with the face/eyeguard. They're must haves for me to play Skyrim again. Many years ago I played a human race and it was fine. Now I play orc. I've downloaded both the original EarlyMiddleageHelemts for the the other races and now this beast+orc patch. As I've already stated the helmets show up on the Orc, Khajiit and Argonian faces just fine, except for the huge black/dark graphical areas on the sides of the helmets, both for male and female. They're too much. Can't play with that. Must fix... :/
Oh wow! As soon as i saw it, it was an instant download!!!
Its an awesome mod!
But i have a request though. Have you ever thought about doind and spartan helmet? Like the ones on the 300 movies. That would be incredible. And a first in the Skyrim nexus.
Thank you for your kind words TheJeeringJoker. I suppose you did understand that I am not the creator of this whole thing though; I only provided beast race support for those helmets.
Either way, if you tried the mod and it is working, that means you've also downloaded VAultMaN30's original, I guess
I don't think I can make a Spartan Helmet. But there are quite a few around. Please, check those mods:
By the way, make sure to use Improved Closefaced Helmets http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15927
It allows the Imperial heavy Full helmet to have a true visor, so you can see your face and not a black abyss behind I think it quite resembles a spartan one too!
Great work! These helmets look so shiny on a Khajiit. I do have a question: Do you have any plans on the Khajiit's back neck hairs clipping the chainmail on the neck?
Hmm. If it can be done simply with removing biped slots -not sure if I call it correctly, then I could upload an optional esp replacement. I will check this out. Also it is possible to make something similar with khajiit ears.
By the way, if you want a different shine effect, the simplest and only way I know of, is to find another cubemap of your liking, rename it to steel_e.dds. And put it in Data\textures\cubemaps, replacing the old steel_e.dds. Now, you can use vanilla cubemaps, or some cubemaps from mods. If you want more information on this, feel free to ask.
Edit: Oh, I understood this totally different. I thought you were asking for an option where their long hairs, if chosen, would be visible, clipping through the helmet.. Well, I would like to eliminate the neck clipping, but with my limited skills, I don't know if it can be much improved.
I see how you thought I meant the head/long hairs then the body hairs. It is a bit confusing lol.
No problem if the neck clipping cannot be eliminated or reduced. I am just glad to have the helmets showing their proper mesh/textures for the beast races.
