==========
Update 2.4:
==========

* Fixed bug with hide armor sections of the Iron-bone & Iron-scale chest armor not shading correctly when in darkness.

* Updated textures to fix some clipping issues.

* Added mipmaps for all textures to improve performance.

==========
Update 2.3:
==========

* Updated texture for male studded armor models.

* Fixed missing texture issue for female Iron-bone & Iron-scale armors.

==========
Update 2.2:
==========

* Added new armors to Dragon smithing category: Iron-Bone Dovahkiin & Iron-Scale Dovahkiin armor sets. They require pieces from the Iron Plate Dovahkiin & Iron Scaled Dovahkiin armor sets to create, in addition to dragon bones or dragon scales respectively.

* New, unique models used for the new armors. The helmet, shield, boots & gauntlets are the same, but polished to a high shine.

* Reduced the glossiness of the Studded & Scaled armor models.

* v2.2 is fully backwards compatible with v2.1.

==========
Update 2.1:
==========

* The armors in the Iron and Leather smithing category now show the correct preview models.

* Armors that use the Studded or Scaled armor model now have a darker torso section.

* 'Iron Studded Armor' has been renamed to 'Iron Dovahkiin Armor', and 'Studded Iron' armors have been renamed to 'Studded Dovahkiin', hopefully this will help prevent confusion as the names were very similar.

* Both Iron & Studded versions of the Dragonborn Armor sets can now be upgraded with Advanced Steel smithing, into 'Iron Plate Dovahkiin' and 'Iron Scaled Dovahkiin' armors respectively.

* The new advanced armors use the steel boot & gauntlet models, the scaled armor model & custom-made brighter, shinier textures for the banded iron shield and iron helm.

* Females now use the male version of the helm model, without recourse to another mod.

* Armors created with the 2.0 version of this mod are unfortunately not compatible with the 2.1 version. You can run both versions of the mod simultaneously if you rename one of the .ESP files, but the old version armors will not be upgradable into the new 2.1 armors, nor will they utilise the new textures.

Introduction:
===========

This is the new, improved, stand-alone version of one of my earliest Skyrim mods, Dragonborn Armor.

This mod was created to allow you to wear an armor set similar to that worn by the iconic Dovahkiin seen on the Skyrim boxart, Live-action TV spot and Official Trailer, without requiring you to mix-and-match light and heavy armor pieces.

This mod is made entirely with in-game assets, and works for all races and sexes.

===========
What it does:
===========

This mod adds several new armor pieces to the blacksmiths forge; (heavy) Iron Dovahkiin Armor under the Iron category, and (light) Studded Dovahkiin Armor, Boots, Gauntlets, Helmet & Shield under the Leather category.

These new armor pieces are of slightly higher quality than their Iron and Leather counterparts.

To forge, these armor pieces simply require Iron, Leather & Leather Strips, and the chest armor pieces also require 1 regular Studded Leather Armor.

The Iron Dovahkiin Armor can be used in conjunction with the other pieces of Iron armor to benefit from the 'matching set' perk in the Heavy Armor skill tree, as can the pieces of Studded Dovahkiin armor be used with each other to benefit from the perk of the same name in the Light Armor skill tree.

All these pieces of armor can be improved at the smithing bench using Iron, where they can be improved as Iron or Leather respectively unless you are using Legendary Smithing Upgrades in which case they can be improved as steel, with the steel smithing perk.

Enhancement:
============

To get the most out of this mod, you may want to consider using:

* Female Muscle Mod: For that totally bad-ass barbarian chick look!

* Hvergelmir's Armor Retexure: My mod cant currently reference this one's better textures, but it CAN benefit from the superior normal maps. Install and see the difference for yourself!
