Last updates : the three version have been optimized with roombounds to minimize performance impact. There is also a key needed for the door.
Previous updates : Family Edition has arrived! (see optional files) You can now move your 6 kids in The Northern Star...
Version 1.7 is uploaded. Removed the unwanted talos shrine on the Azura's altar and fix a little flickering effect in the blacksmith workshop
Bandits Away version is uploaded. (see optional files) As in the family version, the bandits camp has been moved away (not removed), so they don't attack around the house anymore.
Yes, anyone who downloads the "Family" version will require TMPhoenix's Hearthfire multiple adoptions mod. If you have it installed, you can no longer use Spouses Can Live Anywhere mod along with Hearthfire Multiple Adoption because the scripts from both interfere with each other.
You may also want to try Custom Family Home as an alternative, but there's no guarantee that it will work correctly due it not being tested with this mod, yet.
Thanks to you for the idea of moving the piece of dirt to fix the flicker problem! ;-)
Yes it is compatible with TMPhoenix's mod.
I followed carefully TMPhoenix's recommandations, and Hannador's precious advices, but as I'm not familiar with adoption thing in Skyrim, I'll take every feedback, positive or negative, with great pleasure and interest.
For the record, you shouldn't use Spouses Can Live Anywhere with Hearthfires at all. That mod predates Hearthfires and overwrites spouse behavior scripts from that DLC.
Skyf0rger - quick recap to your statement about not needing Spouses can Live Anywhere.. is that still the case? I have Legendary Ed and that mod (SCLA) as well as My Home is Your Home - redundancies? Just curious if anyone can confirm; before I start removing mods
I accidentally uninstalled the mod today and after I realized it, I installed it again with the nexus mod manager. It doesn't matter which update/optional file I use. I have tried to disable the mirror in my case but I can't disable the door. I also didn't install new mods, so the most recent mod is your house mod well after accidentally uninstalling it. I even put it back in the same place in the load order.
Yes I uninstalled and reinstalled it but nothing changed. Just to be sure I downloaded Skyrim on my laptop where I don't have a single mod and I installed it manually and the library still looks the same. Well I guess I have to live with it
By the way is there a way to fix the issue via console?
pretty late here but i have the same bug aswell, i tried to disable the glass but the door wont go away, im stuck with a black mirror like wall where the glass should be.
I installed the mod and explored the house. There is a cave with a Frost Troll nearby. I ventured outside, and the troll started chasing me. So I dashed inside, thinking I would be safe. Apparently, a Frost Troll can open the locked door of the Northern Star Retreat, because he came in and started attacking me. Disappointing, you aren't even safe in your own home.
This is a very nice house. Beautiful, functional and is the only one in the Dawnstar area with a swimming pool. Endorsed!!!!
Just wanted to let the author and downloaders know of a conflict with Pirates of the North (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69317). Created landscape problems with one of the towns right next to it. The area is Wilvercombe Landing.
I've no idea, how this is smaller than 1MB...what foul magic is this? :P
Seriously amazing work, both exterior And interior.
Only thing I would add is home teleport spell ( since the place is fairly isolated) and possibly fast travel to other holds.
Ohhh, and two light orbs, one in each hand for the exterior statue...imagine how it would look at night! ( Possibly resized/larger size paragon orbs from inside the house?)
Not sure if this is something on account of the mod itself (doubtful), Nexus acting up, or Mod Organizer needlessly bitching, but the "Download with Manager" button seems to not be working for some reason when I try and download this mod. Manually downloading it seems to give no problems whatsoever, but automatic downloading seems to cause issues.

This is how it looks http://imgur.com/l1nbyzq
try something : install only the main version, not the update... and see if the problem continues...

Thank you.
