There are a ton of reasons and actual mods that this tiny fix corrects in one fell swoop. If I start linking those mods and put up pictures than this simple fix mod gets slapped with an Adult label.
Gamefever, do you use a first person enhancement mod alongside this mod?
Skyrim - Enhanced Camera , alongside this you wont have disappearing/malfunctioning wardrobe issues.
40 Tail slot often unseen but used in many mods due to that
44 Face Mouth, often used for other items
50 decapitated head, never seen on PC so slot is often used by outfit mods.
54 Leg or undergarment, another classic mod chest slot
56 Second Chest slot, often used for "bra" (yes without this your bra disappears with Skyrim Enhanced Camera and 1st Person Combat!)
59 Right Arm Garment,
60 Misc, often used for left hand rings
Question, I'm having an issue. Answer, Be aware that the mod must be loaded after the Race Mod that you are making this change to in your Load Order.
Expand my "1st Person Fix" Expand Race Entry Find your Preferred Race Entry
Right Click Anywhere on Right Window Select "Hide No Conflict Rows"
Now Find BOD2 - Biped Body Template -First Person Flags Right Click and Edit that You get an easy Window Box to check mark the flags you want. Slots activated in my mod are 40 44 50 54 56 59 60
It should be pretty easy but the end effect is dramatic.
Like I said I forgot that I had this fix on my game for over a year.
Thank you so much for the heads up about Imperious races affecting seeing the rings, I couldnt understand why all of a sudden I couldnt see certain rings. I have forwarded the records as outlined and am thrilled to be seeing my beautiful jewellery once more
This mods fixes has been integrated into "Disperity". You should be asking your favorite mod author to incorporate the fix into their mod as a matter of course, its just such a simple fix, and has a dramatic impact on how the game feels especially when using mod content that makes use of extra slots.
I also was quite surprised that I was the only one to think of including the fix for Fallout 4, check my profile for download section to have more first person items in Fo4 today.
I don't know why, but it doesn't work for me. /: My character is Nord so it is not a new race. I can't see my left hand rings or claws on my fingers. Anyone have an idea what I can do to make it work? I reinstalled it and also use LOOT. The esp is almost at the end of the list.
PS: I was curious so I change my race to check if it will work. It is working on EVERY SINGLE ONE RACE, BUT NOT NORDS! XD I don't understand it. I even tried a default character presets but it still don't work on Nords. I checked all male from all races and only Nords don't work... Any help? :c
Thanks for the mod! I noticed a minor bug: I'm using the Immersive Jewelry mod to wear rings on both hands. I can see the rings with this mod most of the time but for some reason, while wearing the Shrouded Gloves, I don't see the right hand ring. I tried it with other gloves (Daedric gloves and the Shrouded Hand Wraps) and both showed the rings no problem.
I use practically all the slots, on and off, depending on gear. Visible lefthand items would be awesome. But I don't want to mess up the order of the slots I have currently so I'll have to pass on this, for now at least. Sonds like a great mod though :)
BTW: Does this show all rings if I'm using a 10 ring system, I wonder
It can if you patch it, thing is I did offer to patch the Ningheim, but the author said no, so I didn't make a patch for it. I offered to patch the FemaleHead and FemaleHands meshes to include the havoc pathing for HDT PE and SMP compatibility but got a no.
So there is only so much I can do and of course time constriants, playing my own game and working on other mods.
This is dead easy to do yourself to work with USLEEP, and for that matter if you're running a large load order you might have to patch for a different file as well (Requiem, Ultimate Skyrim, and I'm sure many others). Be warned that it can take several seconds between selecting new race entries and making changes to each, so be patient and wait until xEdit is responsive again to continue with each step as needed.
Also the reason just having a patch for USLEEP may not be enough, is stuff like Requiem will edit the vanilla races. So if you just slap a USLEEP compatible ESP at the end of your load order, it will overwrite any changes Requiem (or any other mod) has made to those races. It's best to know how to do this for yourself for any mod that edits them. So, here we go:
Open xEdit (TESVedit) with your full load order. In the left window, goto Skyrim.esm and expand the directory. Expand Races below that. (it can be a bit easier to click the Names column in the left window at this point and select individual races that way) Select one of the vanilla races In the right-hand window, right-click the top of the column that is the last mod to edit that race and select Copy as Override Into... (if a warning box comes up click Yes I'm Absolutely Sure) Select <new file> at the bottom, click OK Name the ESP you are going to create (MyUltSkyrimFPCIfix or whatever, don't add .esp in that box) and click OK It will show you the masters to be added to this new file, just click OK (Note if you remove any of these files marked as master to your new patch from your load order, this process usually needs redone, at least removing a master). Repeat this process (minus the warning and creating new ESP, instead go to the bottom and select your new ESP to add the record to and not <new file>) for each vanilla race and vampire counterpart (i.e. BretonRace and BretonRaceVampire, etc).
Now simply follow the last part of the Diy Instructions sticky on this page (where you find the BOD2 - Biped Body Template) for each vanilla + vanilla vampire playable race in your new ESP to add the correct flags, close xEdit and make sure the new file is checked and click OK, and enable the ESP in your load order, placed at the bottom (there may be some situations where you don't, I won't go into those here, as long as it's after the mod you added the records from initially is typically where you want it). And you're done. And you may have learned a bit about xEdit and want to dig in more to see what else you can do :D Win + win Just remember to always test with new ESP files or make absolutely sure one your editing is backed up.
No clue without more info, but if you want to test, make ALL of your slots available in first person to see if it works. I'd have to guess whatever you're having an issue with may have changed slots? But need more info to troubleshoot, what mod the item is from, character race, etc. Should be able to get you fixed up.
Is this still being updated? It will need the USLEEP (Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Patch) to work..... The separate unofficial patches for Dawnguard, Skyrim, and others are no longer on the Nexus... If they are still available, I don't know where to look.
I have USLEEP, but not the individuals. Game crashes when I try to boot. Oddly enough I got a popup message about missing masters though. THat has never happened to me before.
Yeah sorry sir, but if you're still playing at this point then you need to get the DLC. It's impossible to imagine life without them as a modder's resource, even if you don't bother playing the DLC.
Could use a patch for the succubus race as well. And is this designed to be compatible with mods that allow for more than one ring to be worn such as the Left Hand series?
Thanks so much for making this mod! I can't wait to try it out...
Listen, I know this question has probably been asked 100s of times, but it requires the Unofficial Skyrim Patch and the Unofficial Dawnguard patch... however, I think I have the Legendary edition and the Unofficial patch for it. Does the USLEEP patch and this mod play nicely together?
Thank you for this mod- as you said, it solves a variety of issues.
I converted the original esp to Skyrim Special Edition by updating the esp from version 43 to 44 in the CK, then checking it in SSEEdit for conflicts and errors. I found that all 5 attacks for the Argonian Race were omitted from both your original and the USKP version by another author. I don't have an Argonian character, but if I did I would hope that she would have some attacks. All the other races modified by this mod had all of their attacks.
Also there were many conflicts with several of the Vampire races in the Head Parts area where Update.esm or Dawnguard.esm had corrected a Skyrim.esm Head Parts reference for one, two or all three of the records but this mod was reverting them to the uncorrected Skyrim.esm version. This is no doubt just a version issue, so I fixed them to agree with the Dawnguard.esm records.
I have corrected what I could correct and it seems to work fine in my SSE now. I would be glad to share the file with you in case you would like to release it for SSE.
