DO NOT USE THIS FILE UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE QUEST "THE HOUSE OF HORRORS" AND RECEIVED THE MACE OF MOLAG BAL.
This mod empties out the Abandoned House in Markarth that is usable after the player has completed Molag Bal's quest. Please do not load this plugin until AFTER you have received the Mace of Molag Bal! In addition to removing all the furniture/items, I also deleted all the quest activators & spooky sounds. It will most likely break your game if you turn this mod on before the related quest. If you do not want to do the quest yourself, I have provided a save which has it already completed. Just make sure you have completed HoH in some form before activating this mod! You've been warned!
I am sharing this with you as part of a house mod I am working on. You are MORE than welcome to use this file as a base if you would like to decorate the home for yourself. I don't even need credit, though I'd love to see what you come up with :)
I have cleaned the file with TES5Edit and it only requires vanilla Skyrim 1.9.32.0.8.
As mentioned, this makes the Abandoned House in Markarth empty of all furniture, items, cobwebs, and most lights. I left the fire in the fireplace in the first room. This means the house is VERY DARK! It is not super dark with my ENB, but the unlit portions when viewed in the Creation Kit are pitch black.
The only light sources I did not touch aside from the main room were the ones in the cave leading to Molag Bal's altar. In fact, I really did not touch the cave at all. I removed a few miscellaneous objects from the ground as soon as you walk in (pitchfork, shovel), but the rest I left completely alone. In my game, Logrolf's body is still there on the altar where I left him :)
I think the pictures pretty much illustrate the mod clearly, but if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.
UPDATE 2.0 - NEW SAVE GAME OPTION
For your convenience, I have added a save game file as a separate mod that is completely vanilla and has the Molag Bal quest completed. I have listed it in the "required files" section as well as linked it below. It is NOT ACTUALLY REQUIRED to use this mod. It is simply to make things easier. But please remember not to use this house mod unless you HAVE completed the quest.
Please inform me if there are any issues! I will fix them right away. Thank you very much.
