Vahl: The Dragonborn Dimension-Walker
What is a Dimension-Walker?
A "Dimension-Walker" is someone who manages to transcend the fabrics of time and space into a parallel universe that is not their own either by choice or by some random twist of fate. They may be an alternate version of you and what you could've been, or they could simply be someone who walks the same path as you. Dimension-Walkers are strange folk. They speak the truth, but the sheer ridiculousness of their story have others believing that they are mad.
Who is Vahl? (Lore-friendly-ish version)
Vahl is like you (assuming you are Dragonborn). She has done her part in her dimension, she's killed Alduin, subdued Miraak and ended Harkon and his "Tyranny of the Sun" prophecy. However one day, she woke up in another dimension. Your dimension. A dimension where she still is Dragonborn, just not the Dragonborn that is credited with saving the world in it. But whether she is credited or no, she's an adventurer through and through and she will aid you in your own adventures. Pay attention, she might teach you a thing or two.
Who is Vahl? (Non Lorefriendly version)
The concept of Vahl came from the mind of a youtube channel called "VenturianTale". A group of four siblings who play random games and generally screw around. Particularly, Vahl was the character of the eldest brother's Skyrim Let's Play "A Skyrim Tale". Far from lore-friendly, but I found it to be rather entertaining. In time, I managed to befriend them and was able to convince the eldest brother to donate a save of Vahl for the cause once his Let's Play had come to a conclusion. Little did he know, he was donating his much loved character to be immortalized as a follower. And so it was, the little Dunmer was made into a follower... That can spit fire and ice... If you have no idea who VenturianTale is... Well you still got a pretty Dunmer follower who can shout, so that's something yea?
Features:
- As Dragonborn, Vahl possess the ability to shout. Her shout list includes of Fire Breath, Frost Breath, Unrelenting Force and Disarm. She seems to use them randomly, so one battle she'll spam Fire and Frost Breath, the next she'll favor Disarm and Frost Breath and so on and so forth
- Vahl is essential and non-marriageable (She's married in her own dimension)
- She has no level cap and will level with you to Oblivion and back
- She specializes in One-Handed, Light Armor, Sneak and Archery
- She has a few perks including Bladesman, Lightfoot, Overdraw, Armsman etc
- As an adventurer, she's got a pretty basic inventory. 1000 gold, and a few leveled items such as Potions and various gems.
Where to find Vahl?
You can find Vahl in Candlehearth Hall in Windhelm. If she's not there you can use the console
type "Help Vahl"
Then "player.placeatme *Vahl's ID number"
