a bit too bulky for my taste. I understand that in real life chainmail goes over a padded gambeson and thats why it makes such a bulky look, but I'd rather it look like the chainmail cuirass from Oblivion
The scripted version only runs its script once per new game, right? Otherwise I'm getting the leveled list version and I'll need to make a handmade patch for Requiem...
Does this by any chance work with Special Edition version? I know some mods transfer well to SE while others don't but I only play SE due to rain occlusion. xD So I was just wondering
FINALLY! A chainmail armor mod that actually adds AVENTAILS! Thak you sir/ma'm to creating this because i have scoured the entire net to find something like this. I'm just sick to have letha holes in my armor that could mean the death of me in real life. :)
Don't listen to idiots that say "it's too bulky". Guess what, it WAS bulky in real life.
So I installed the file and activated it in the data files, but can't seem to find any of the armors anywhere in the game. The file description didn't help with that either.
This is great. It just feels that orc version does not differ from iron, but only has different finish. I noticed that coif comes under the jaw too, which is not really how mail coifs were. It should go over the chin.
In the Creation Kit under the "Armor" entry for the armor piece, simply change the pulldown next to "Weight" from "Light" to "Heavy": http://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Armor Also change the keyword from "ArmorLight" to "ArmorHeavy."

If it was too tight it wouldn't be giving you proper protection against blunt attacks.
