Deal with it or don't use mod. I tried to fix it a number of times and I can't. It works for me. I have no idea what is causing it. None of the fixes I tried helped.
I really really like this house, but alike many others I keep crashing when trying to enter the dungeon. I just thought I'd ask if the forge is in there, because it would be really disappointing if it is with the crashing and all.
This might help identifying the CTD Dungeon problem. When I disable Hearthfires, I no longer get CTD when entering the dungeon. Also I don't use any followers at all. I am using the no cattle 1.2v.
And I just found that after disabling Hearthfires, entering dungeon and re-enabling Hearthfires, the CTDs stopped...it is very strange indeed.
To add to that, I personally find that CTD's only occur after I've been playing a while: my first time or two in a session entering the dungeon, I'll have no problems. Version 1.2, all DLC.
Ashal, has your solution fixed the issue permanently? If so, I may have to try it myself.
I am in desperate need of a good necromancer themed home, and can't find a good one. I have always enjoyed your work, so would you consider doing a Necromancer themed home mod?
I too am having this problem? What's inside? Does it have a lot of nice clutter like the main part of the house? I'd really like to go inside, anyone know of a fix?
Great house! My Ningheim-Vampire is in love with it. One quick question though, is there a way to use console commands to spawn a Thrall and keep it inside of the jail? Would make this house all the more perfect!
Nice hideout for a vampire character. The only issue I encountered was the jail door not locking by clicking the key. Unless you disabled that in the no NPC version.
Elianora - I previously replied to Bladejinn's comment below, regarding the odd issues in Ravenholm's dungeon, but I wanted to make a new comment with some further findings, incomplete or erroneous though they may be, in case you're still investigating the CTDs.
Sometimes when I enter the dungeon, it loads fine but the vampire cattle NPC is missing entirely. Other times when I enter the dungeon, it loads fine and the vampire cattle NPC is in his cell, but not only is he extremely chatty, he doesn't look as I would have imagined him to, having looked at his NPC data in TES5Edit (something like missing head parts, a beard and such, if I recall correctly).

In a nutshell, I believe that the missing vampire cattle NPC and the immediate CTD issues are one and the same (or at least interrelated).
Would you like to confirm or disconfirm whether or not the cattle dude looks right here? I'm really feeling like maybe the whole issue is tied to the NPC, because none of the other theories (having saved inside Ravenholm versus having saved outside, asset weight and/or number of assets involved, not even Bladejinn's template swap) have seemed to have had any bearing for me one way or another.
If I'm totally off base here, I apologize, but I'd really like to see the kinks worked out of this house of yours because it's great and I like it a lot, and if there's any chance anything I said here helps at all, I figured it'd be worth adding.
Looking at things again, I notice that both the loose files version I originally downloaded and the newest .bsa version appear to be missing at least the mesh for the object EliBookTower, used in the dungeon cell, the file path to which is: blary\Books & Desk\booktower.nif.
Edit: Actually, looking at both cells in Creation Kit, I'm now seeing other missing meshes as well: Elihook (The_Funktasm\lhook02.nif) & EliPillow (TamagenPillows\TamagenRectangleRed.nif). In the case of the pillow mesh, the textures are also missing. I'm not sure about the textures for the other mesh.
Edit 2: Also the textures\stroti\kitchentools directory appears to be absent.
Not to pile on too much here, but in looking through my Papyrus log, as well as TES5Edit and your .bsa, I have noticed that you seem to have not included a couple of scripts- EliKeyLockingScript, referenced on the key to Ravenholm (I assume this is to do with the mechanism by which the dungeon cage door is locked and unlocked), and PF_EliThrallSandbox_03063F00, referenced on the EliThrallSandbox package.
I'm not certain that either of these could have to do with the CTDs, but I figured I'd mention it.
As ever, If I am somehow in error, I apologize profusely (in advance).
For whatever it's worth, I have noticed that the PF_EliThrallSandbox_03063F00 script was removed in the newest iteration along with the cattle NPC and his associated packages. On the other hand, the newest iteration also crashed my CK when attempting to view the dungeon cell until I removed the hay bedroll in the cattle area using TES5Edit, after which I was able to load the cell in CK at will.
I really don't know what else to say about the crashing issue, due to it being so damned idiosyncratic and yet so consistently reproducible on my end, aside from mentioning that obviously I was completely wrong about the NPC being the source (as the issue has continued merrily along without him).
A few notes on observations I made during fairly extensive testing (without a follower in tow, if that matters): I load a save made just outside the front door of Ravenholm, having acquired the key but never having entered. I enter Ravenholm and can travel freely between the dungeon & the main room over & over; I'm able to leave Ravenholm entirely and then re-enter and still enter the dungeon with no problem. However, if I quit to the main menu and then proceed to reload the same save, I will crash the first time I try to enter the dungeon every single time.
In summation, Ravenholm's a great looking little residence for vampires, it's just a shame that I (and whomever else) can't seem to use it.
