Does this include the mammoth skull traps? You know, like you can find in certain bandit dungeons or Forsworn camps? Also, there's only one or two quests that require a mammoth tusk, as far as I remember, but anyway. Good idea!
This is such a simple mod, but it's PERFECT! Finding mammoth tusks has always been difficult, and besides the fact that killing mammoths feels unnecessary, it's also a pain in the ass to try and kill one simply for their tusks, only to get simultaneously attacked by all of its friends as well as every single giant in a fifty mile radius. So thank you, endorsed! =)

I hadnt thought of that. That would mean replacing every instance of variants 1 and 3 with a 2 or 4, and then have them revert back once harvested. That might work, provided the base skull shape is pretty much the same with all variants. I'll take a look, thanks for the idea!
I know this is old-OLD, but should this ever be implemented I would gladly install the mod in my game. I may try to do some research, and see if I can't get accomplish this in CK myself, but I'm not very good, so... we'll see. Great idea for the mod. Kk

DarkFox127 made nice tutorial on youtube for creating harvestable items, you can check it if you want to, but you would need to find mammoth skull without tusks. Hope this can help you. Nice mod.
I am outdoor enthusiast and a hunter in the real world sense,and tho I don't believe in wasting animals just for so called "sport"... when I have a legitimate need I don't have a problem with killing a mammoth or two...that said I think this is an excellent mod ...no need to kill something when there are so many just lying about after all and I have wondered why someone didn't do this a long time ago... it really should have been part of the vanilla game...so great work,I like it!!
take this Mod and combine it with Craftable mammoth tusk powder mods and never have to deal with how rare the item is! no seriously best combo ever, waste? what waste? if I'm not selling the stuff I'm using it in alchemy! for those who don't want to waste even one tusk ever! ^-^
