Would it be possible to make the Disable Fast Travel file work with SSE? There are some mods out for the SE that disable fast travel, but they all also disable the dragon fast travel.
I haven't done any modding work in a long while, so I'm not very aware of the particulars of converting a mod to SSE.
But from what I do know, it seems like it should be trivial. I would expect opening the file in the SSE CK and saving it to be all that is required. It doesn't rely on SKSE or any other outside tool. It's just a couple of tiny scripts on a tiny .esp that only has masters that are already included in SSE.
Also, per my permission settings, anyone is free to do such a thing with my files and upload them wherever as long as no money is charged for them.
I already did how you described, however it didn't seem to do anything. From what I know the BSA file has to be unpacked (so its all loose files). Resaving the esp in CK is recommended but not necessary. Maybe the 3 scripts have to go into a different location in the Se? I don't know. Or it just won't work for some other reason.
At first I unpacked the BSA and just copied the whole mod into my skyrim/data. After that didn't work I tried all possible locations. I always put the esp into the data folder and the 2 pex scripts into my data/scripts folder. I tried to put the 2 psc scripts from the "Source-Disable Fast Travel" folder first into the data/scripts/source folder, than into source/scripts. Nohting did anything. It was just like if I hadn't installed the mod.
Are you sure it doesn't need SKSE? In some old reddit thread you talked about frostfall and your mod both needing SKSE. Here: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/39r3d6/do_any_mods_disable_fast_travel_but_also_allow/
I really would love to see this mod work with SE. With mark and recall spells, waystones and the dragon taxis travel would be much more immersive and rewarding. The psycological aspect of always knowing that you can 1-click-warp destroys the whole atmosphere.
So I tried the Disable Fast Travel file. And decided I didn't enjoy my no fast travel run. So I tried to uninstall it but now Skyrim Crashes, Is there a way to uninstall it in a way that can let me continue my current save?
I don't have Skyrim installed at the moment, so I can't test, but presumably it's doing that because you removed the file while the script was still running in your save game. Install the file, remove the ability from your character with the console, then save and remove the file.
If that doesn't work, I'm afraid I can't help you. I didn't make these files with explicit support for uninstalling, since they were never intended to be uninstalled on my end.
That would be pretty easy. You'd just have to open it up in the CK and adjust the conditions on the DFT spell so that it stops applying when you're on a horse. Could also do it in TES5Edit.
I'd do it for you, but I don't have Skyrim installed at the moment.
You might want to check out this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/26638/?
Same concept, slightly different implementation, and it's just the Levitate spell, so there's a lot fewer chances for it to break anything in SkyRe. The only conflict I would look for there is the spell leveled lists, which is an easy patch to make with TES5Edit.
Nice! Looks pretty underrated, and like it could clear up some space in my LO. If you wanted to take this even further, you might consider adding an MCM menu so that players can enable or disable certain portions of the mod, or maybe attach an .ini to customize certain parts of it.
Is it possible to add an optional file that has the whole mod but the fast travel disabling ? I'm sort of a total dork who likes to just go ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE BUT THE MAIN QUEST... because I like to slaughter things in Skyrim. c

On the other hand, hopefully SKSE64 will be far enough along soon that it will work properly.
