    REGARDING SPECIAL EDITION PORT

This mod uses an SKSE .DLL that was provided to me, that I do not have the source code for, so I cannot port it. The SE version that was up a while back was ported by iammitochondrion, but they took all of their mods down and deleted their account (several times I think?)

I personally wish I had this for SE, too, but for the time being it's out of my hands.

UPDATE: See the post below this for an updated version for SSE by user NasGotTelorCeplok.

Hi, I remade the DLL for Skyrim Special Edition runtime 1.5.53
Just download and install the main file then replace the DLL with this one https://mega.nz/#!IKRXDCZZ!7d0oNRioeKInkdxbZrk3v-RUjGxAv_QUpmA_dYGuyvY

    Enjoy

UPDATE: Someone posted a fix if you're dealing with the resetting FOV zoom problem. It's a bit technical but it will hold you over until I can figure out why the data resets. BACK UP YOUR SAVE BEFORE MESSING WITH SAVE CLEANERS, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MISUSE!

"After trying a lot of things i manage to find a a solution for the fov resetting after zoom out:

-Download Save game script cleaner by Hadoram
-Open your save in Save game script cleaner
-Search for "lookcloser" in the scripts tab
    -Select _lookCloserQuest
-On the middle bottom tab change the fov settings (_cut1stpersonfOV | _curworld | _f1stpesonfov | _fworldfov) to your desired fov
-Save and play the game with that save"

This is my first gameplay / utility / MCM so please leave feedback and report any issues here! This is a VERY simple mod that was code-reviewed and should not cause you any issues, but as always, be smart about your modding, make backups of your saves, and try to avoid uninstalling.

If your zoom is resetting to vanilla or some other value when you zoom out, please let me know, and let me know whether or not you're using Customizable Camera!

If you are, Nautiluse said: "I'm using 'Customizable Camera' and set a default FOV, after ACL zoom out FOV will back to the setting value in CC." so that should fix it.

If you do experience issues, please send me your load order so I can narrow down the issue! Use modwat.ch or pastebin.com! <3

I have a few ideas for additional features I may add. Thank you for checking it out!

    FAQ:

"How is this different than Jaxonz zoom?"...

Jaxonz mods are all GOLD, but the zoom just never felt right to me. Mine is not "better", it's just exactly what I wanted in a functional, lightweight zoom mod. Give it a shot and see which one you prefer!

I really like this mod's functionality; but It seems to reset my FOV to vanilla, when I zoom back out of the view - instead of my custom FOV. Anyone else experienced this or know how to fix?

It resets to vanilla because the script only reads your custom FoV when it first starts up, and then NEVER again ever. So it's resetting it to whatever it was when you installed the mod or started the playthrough.

Fix by disabling the mod from your load order, saving, then renabling it. whenever you edit your default FoV.

or by fixing the script. It's a pretty simple change (5 lines of code) to make it re-check the FoV defaults whenever you close the MCM

Same here. I just moved onto using Jaxonz Zoom. You can set a min and max FOV, instead of the script "detecting" your max, and then you just cycle through FOVs between them instead. Sure it's not smooth whatsoever, but it is compatible (by overriding CC's FOV settings).

    Hoping you see this

This mod has a hard incompatibility with SKGE. using SKGE will make it impossible to use the zoom function.

    EDIT: issue resolved, plz ignore

For all the SE orphans of this amazing mod, there's a version on the SE Nexus, by Fudgyduff here's the link:

    https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/27737

Since he's a famous author, and the mod's been around on the SE Nexus for some time, I assume he has the proper permissions. By the way kudos to NasGorTelorCeplok for updating the DLL, but we are in version 1.5.80 now, so sadly, it doesn't work. The one maintained by Fudgyduff is updated constantly after Bethesda's shenanigans, and it's currently up to date.

EDIT: This information was posted already in a reply to a previous posts, but here it is in a slightly easier to find way.
