Regarding making the mod a part of bigger projects and/or building up an igloo village/city kind of comments;
Sorry guys, this is my third mod ever and those kind of works are beyond my knowledge... on the other hand, I have a full time job and even building an one room igloo was very hard because of my lack of free time... normally even i am not able to set a quest for my homes, at least i write a back story but this time i couldn't have enoygh time to think of something and write it down... after I completed the mod, I waited for one month to have time to write the back story but at last i decided to publish it as it is...
So, in short i do not think i can manage those kind of long projects but i am willing to give my support to anyone wants to try it
I don't know how to do it yet (I have never played SSE) but when i learn it i will port my mods to SSE (I hope... Coz I don't have to much spare time lately)
Hey! Lovely job. I was wondering if you would allow me to retexture this and use it on a Myst: Riven mod. They have small round igloo-like adobe huts there and this mesh would be perfect. Thanks in advance!
Good idea Riverwind. The iNeed mod, already lets you collect snow, so that could be implemented in a similar way... If you're standing on top of snow and use the Frostfall craft hotkey (or similar), the script would run to collect a certain amount of snow (similar to mining). Once you've collected enough snow or snow piles, you can craft an Igloo. Maybe even have different sizes of Igloos, similar to small and large tents in Frostfall... man I have so many more ideas in my head right now!
I am also a that kind of person that would like it... however, scripting is something not familiar to me and i don't think one can built a placeable house without writing scripts.
If anyone wants to give it a try, i can give permission to use my mod...
I don't know, haven't checked any placeable house/tent/object to see if their meshes are different than the static ones but i think it is a very small possibility...
Yeah I didn't expect any further works with this (unless someone wants to implement this in other bigger projects like you said), I am just thinking (writing) out loud.
I know you said you aren't very experience in modding, so if I'm overstepping here I apologize...but I think you should consider checking out the new Campfire Dev Kit and seeing if you can add your igloo object into the camping system that way; IF you ever feel like doing something else with it that is.
I need to check that mod, if it requires compiling scripts, it will be a problem for me. I am a mod organizer user and since mod organizer changes default game directories and hiden them CK doesn't compile scripts... And i don't know if anybody published a fix for it
Very nicely done! This is perfect for my primitive Nord hunter character. I’ve made a few minor changes in the CK for my personal use but here are a couple of suggestions, and one noticeable landscape gap, if you’re interested in including them for others.
1. The way it is now is you have to use fast travel or swim to land and that could be both tedious and deadly with Frostfall. Also, the fast travel marker puts you right in front of the igloo instead of at the rowboat. It would be nice if the rowboat had a map marker and was designed so that it takes the player to the port at Dawnstar or at least somewhere on the shore close to it. I suppose you could even have it take you to Windhelm and Solitude docks if you like.
2. I made the igloo interior more primitive by replacing the rugs with pelts. Also, the cooking pot that is there is not useable and the stone fire pit makes it “jumpy” for a character in third person (which I use mostly) so I replaced it with another cooking stand and useable pot.
Landscape Gap : If you walk straight ahead, starting at the igloo door facing Dawnstar, there is a noticeable gap where the iceberg meets the land.
Again, this is one fantastic mod and a great addition to my game. Thank you for your work. Endorsed!
In my legauge yurt means home, homeland... We call the tent in your picture as otag just like in central asia.
Also I must state that creating a texture from scratch is something I have never done before and beyond my knowledge, also at the moment I don't even have Skyrim installed in my pc.
If you are familiar with CK just a little bit, you can do it yourself. Original mesh & textures of the igloo are modder's resource. At the moment I don't even have Skyrim installed in my pc.
Hey Sonogu great job on your Igloo mod! I really enjoyed using this as an amazing home base for my character, and its a great immersive addition to that rough arctic survival feel. I just wish I can make an igloo like this in real life lol. Anyways, again, wonderful work on this mod
Hey Jkat, Thank you for the supporting & couraging comment. I am glad you enjoyed the Igloo, I highly recommend you to check my recently uploaded mod Stump Home Reloaded too... ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69134/? )

I've ported your mod for SSE, May i have your permission to publish the mod on nexus exclusively?

I'll be practising on this, if i success anything i will declare it from here...
