    Seems no matter what I do, Saarthal will not start. Tolfdir walks up to me, tells me to go, then nothing. It doesn't show in my journal, the characters don't show up at Saarthal, nothing. The getstage shows the quest is set to stage 0 no matter what, even when I change it. Any ideas? this is literally breaking my game

      That has to be a mod conflict. So the only solution is to manually complete MG01 (setting stage 500 should work) and then make sure MG02 is started.

    To all my SSE users of this fine mod: you CAN compact and convert this to an ESPFE / ESL flagged / ESP Lite mod. Be sure of three things:

    1) You first compact the FormID's in xEdit. 
    2) You flag it as an ESL mod in xEdit, so that it becomes an ESP-ESL. Do not change the extension to ESL.
    3) You only use this on a NEW GAME, not an existing one with any saves. 

    ALL LOAD ORDER SLOTS MATTER!

    I seem to have lost my ability to control this mod in MCM midgame. This mod and the MQ Not So Fast can both be selected, but all options are greyed out. Has anyone else ever had this issue?

      Two things come to mind. The options do get disabled when it's past the time where they would have an effect. The other is that if you have installed another mod mid-game it might have created a conflict that's breaking these mods.

      Hey I don't know how active people still are on this page but I have a quick question regarding installation with this mod and the not so fast main quest line mod. If I'm a few hours in but haven't touched the main quest or the college questlines at all is it safe to run this mod? I went immediately to bruma after starting my game and did its content before immigrating to skyrim, I usually always play with the not so fast mods but forgot to install them for this run and just remembered that I wasn't running them. Can I install these mods a few hours in provided i haven't touched their affecting quests?

      Yes, for this it needs to be before you join the college if you want to delay the Saarthal quest and for the main quest it needs to be before you report to the Jarl if you want to delay the first dragon attack.

    Found the patch for ICOW and NSF-MG but its for the SSE, some coding genius can probably change it for LE's use

    or it could be used regardless since not much was changed between SE and LE (same keyword and masterlist)

    Hi,

    In my game with both Immersive College of Winterhold and Not So Fast - Mage Guild, the daily AI packages (going to class, practicing spells, eating in the "great hall") are not functional. When I restarted without using Not So Fast - Mage Guild, all of the daily AI packages were executed. I have ICW overwriting Not So Fast... but the NPC schedules still don't function correctly. I imagine this has something to do with a condition set by ICW to start the AI Packages after Tolfdir's initial lesson and the start of the Saarthal quest line, but I'm not really savvy enough to know if that's true. It's really bothersome, because I NEED to have the AI packages work so my character can attend class and gain experience... but on the other hand, I really, really hate that the vanilla college quest line sends you into a dangerous dungeon as soon as you join the college. Is there any way we can have a patch made so that AI packages from ICW initialize even with Not So Fast - Mage Guild running?

      Thanks for alerting us of this. many of us like to mod our Bethesda games as much as possible, but the more we do so, the more likely we are to have incompatibilities, broken quests, weird behaviour or CTDs. "Immersive College of Winterhold" is probably the most well known College altering mod, and it would be great if all mods related to the college were made to work along with it.

      While it might be nice if all mods could be used together it's simply not possible unless all the mod authors were to collaborate to make it happen.

      Right now, if you want to use the mods together you'll need set the delay for the Saarthal quest to 0 and only use the Psijic monk visit delay.

      Immersive College of Winterhold has filtered its AI packages, scenes, and many other things to only start after the Saarthal quest is complete. That's a perfectly reasonable thing for it to do considering how the quests work in the original game. Unfortunately, that means that a mod like this which delays that quest will also delay those AI packages, scenes, etc. leaving the College strangely lifeless before then.

      But since links to the Saarthal quest are built into the features of the Immersive College of Winterhold mod itself, there's nothing I can do about that from the outside. You need a patch for that mod not a patch for this one. If Grantyboy050 were to contact me I would try to help but I'm not going to try to rewrite another person's mod.

      Hey cdcooley, I am building a Magic Pack for STEP, and I am including Immersive College of Winterhold. I believe that I have came up with a way to make his mod compatibility with STEP, which includes this mod. Namely, replacing the GetQuestRunning function for First Lessons conditions on those packages with GetStageDone function and changing the comparison value to 1 instead? Theoretically, Tolfdor packages would need the Quest Stage set to 200, Mirabelle 50, and everyone else 40. If you do this with all of his packages, replacing all conditions with GetQuestRunning (First Lessons) with my proposed changes, it should work from his end. But I have a few questions about your mod that could help me understand:

      1. When does the MQ01 move to stage 300? Or 500? I can't find the mechanism that drives this in xEdit or CK...
      2. What package drives Tolfdor to look for the player after the NSF delay for Saarthal? I may need to raise its priority...
      3. Are there any concerns I should be aware of for MG04 and its delay?

      My guess would be no just by reading that mod's description. And even if they work together I don't think it would make sense to use both.

      Well, College Days adds level-based delays and this mod spreads out the events early in the quest line. I thought it would be nice to have both.

    I'm completely unable to start the Saarthal quest, I've followed all of your instructions in the description. Even console commands won't activate it.

    A bit upsetting.

      I'm not sure what you tried, but here are some you can try.

      1. Use the console command "setpqv MG01 NSFMG_SaarthalDelay 0" then sleep in the Hall of Attainment and wake up between 7:00 and 8:00 am to see if Tolfdir will play his scene.

      2. Use the console command "setstage MG01 300" then try sleeping again for one hour (so you can still wake up before 9:00 am) and see if he plays the scene.

      3. If Tolfdir won't start his scene you should be able to bypass it completely with the commands "setstage MG01 500", "stopquest MG01", and then "startquest MG02".

      If you're already tried doing things to MG02 use "resetquest MG02" and then try to start it again.

      Sorry I tried as you said, but it's as if the game doesn't recognise the commands. The scenes won't play, and with the others there no on-screen or journal notifications. More mundane console commands seem to work fine.

      I'm really at a loss. I suppose I will just have to abandon the questline.

      Strange, I tested things out with a new game, and they worked.

      It it fair to say that my current playthrough is doomed?

      Also, I forget to mention. Earlier on in my playthrough I was struggling to find Tolfdir, so I accidental made a copy of him in console. Naturally, I deleted one of the Tolfdirs, yet I do not know if it was the original or the copy. If it was the former could it be that the copy is incapable of following the scene?

      Duplicating and then destroying the original Tolfdir would absolutely explain the problems. The quests need the real thing not some clone. You should never spawn a unique NPC via the console for exactly that reason.
