Hello dylbill. Read this about Athletics Training. I want to use your mod because the jump feature, but I didn't test it deeply yet. But I am curious about how is the performance of this mod compared with Cobb's mod. Thanks.

Hey, as far as I understand this mod and Cobb's mod are about the same as far as script performance. Athletic's Training though is pretty script intensive, so you might want to use Better Jumping instead if all you care about is the jumping feature. You can find it here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65044/?

Yes, I have planed to use bosh, your mod and Better Jumping for the sprint. Athletics Training is similar to Oblivion, and I didn't like that speed increase feature, so it was not planned to use in my Skyrim gameplay. I tested a bit your mod and runs perfect, and is fully configurable. The Cobb's mod is great too (and he is a great guy and programmer), but it allows you to jump when you are over encumbered, and.that breaks immersion for me. So, your mod goes to my mod list. Thanks for your answer.

I don't understand the point of the encumbrace note. There are more than 25 in few minutes...

Nice concept, but unfortunately that 'applying over encumbrance script' backs and forth and it really annoys me. It feels like there almost no differences between vanilla at all. Yes, you mentioned it will takes some time to apply this script. I know. And that is I say, the final goal of all these encumbered overhaul mod.
Perhaps there might be another way to let the player run after over encumbered?

Hi, is SKSE needed only for the MCM menu or for other mod functions? Thanks.

Hey, this mod does use other SKSE functions besides the MCM, so you do need it.

So far I'm liking this, but the biggest issue I have is the message telling me I'm carry too much. This I know, and I would like the option to remove those words. Other than that I'm seeing no problems.

Thanks it should say "You are over encumbered." But I could upload an optional esp that removes the message entirely.

There is also an INI change that handles how fast the messages come up.

I'm really loving this, but it's so buggy I can't use it. It shows incorrect carry weight when overencumbered, it randomly disables jogging as if vanilla, and the exhaustion module is acting really weird (exhaustion is often delayed and the effect sometimes doesn't go away, even when on full stamina and not overencumbered. I've got a lot of mods, but most of them are only graphical enhancements and small fixes/changes/additions. Can't think of anything that would be incompatible with this.

Anyone can recommend me mods that are similar to this? All I want is that the more overencumbered my character is, the slower he jogs, instead of disabling sprinting and jogging. I hate having to toggle godmode to fast travel to breezehome to store my gear and then continuing, and something like this would instead encourage me to walk or take a carriage. And no I don't want a horse.

Hey it sounds like you're having a script lag problem. If you have a lot of scripted mods, this mod won't update as fast. I would disable exhaustion altogether as this uses an update event when you become over encumbered. As in the description, sometimes the carryweight buff is still shown when enter the menu, to have the correct carryweight displayed add or remove another item. If the correct carryweight still isn't displayed then that is script lag, it means the encumbrance spell wasn't removed from your character, and the script from this mod is waiting for another script in your game to finish before it removes the spell. Also if jogging is disabled, again this is a script lag problem. It means the magnitudes of the encumbrance spell weren't set correctly. Try waiting a little before exiting the menu after adding or removing an item. If you picked up an item from the world (not a container menu) then jogging will be disabled until the mod sets the correct magnitudes for the spell. Again how fast this happens depends on how many scripts are running in your game. You can also disable all the features except speed reduction if you only want to jog slower when over encumbered.

There are some other encumbrance mods on the Nexus, but none of them, as far as I know, allow you to run when you become over encumbered, which is why I made this mod. You might try Cobb Encumbrance as an alternative, which will buff your stats if you are well below your carryweight limit, and reduce your stats the closer you get to your limit.

This is a really awesome mod but I have encountered a strange glitch. This is probably a mod incompatibility but whenever I sleep in a tent added by Frostfall (sleeping anywhere else so far does not cause the glitch) More Natural Encumbrance will start counting the weights in the inventory of my follower as if I was carrying them. Usually turning off the mod, restarting Skyrim, then turning the mod back on fixes this.

Hey thanks. That's really strange, some other mod, probably Frostfall, or possibly a multiple followers mod must be switching your character's actor reference with your follower's actor reference when you sleep in a Frostfall tent. I'm not really sure how to fix that, other than maybe try loading this mod later in your load order and see if that works.

I gave it a shot by placing the mod at the very end of my load order but sadly it did not work. It could be possible AFT is the culprit (and the follower is from Interesting NPCs) but it is strange that this only occurs when I am sleepin in the Frostfall tent.

Yeah it's definitely strange. Which version are you using? The regular or athletics training version? There are two ways to fill your character property in the creation kit, I could upload an alternate esp that uses the other way and maybe that would fix the problem.

Nvm, I uploaded both versions just cause. Try it out and see if it works, if it doesn't then I'm stumped.

I gave the alternate esp a try (I am using the regular version) and slept in a Frostfall tent. When my character woke up I ran around a little, dropped some stuff, and picked it back up. So far it looks like the alternate esp has fixed the problem.
      Many thanks!

Is this compatible with Better Vampires?

Hey I'm not positive as I haven't used that mod yet, but after looking at the website It looks like it should be compatible. The only thing that may conflict is movement speed. If Better Vampires uses spells, or ModAv to affect your speed, which it looks like it does, it will be compatible. If it sets your speed to a specific amount without taking your current speed into account it won't be. But it looks like Better Vampires doesn't update your speed very often, so if this is the case you could add or remove an item from your inventory after Better Vampires changes your speed to have the correct reduction applied. Or you could set the speed reduction ratio from this mod to 0 and the other features will still work.

Compatibility with Athletics Training is coming? Awesome - that mod doesn't get enough love. I've been trying desperately to get a mod list that lowers base carry weight, jump height and run speed to more believable levels, varying by race, that also works with Athletics Training. I've come very close to pulling this off by playing around with many immersion mods but there are inevitably problems.

Hey yep a patch is coming

What I'm doing is tweaking the main script for Athletics Training so that it buffs your speed and jump height based on your current speed and jump height, rather than setting them to a specific value. This should make Athletics Training more compatible with other mods that alter those stats. I'm also making it so Athletics Training doesn't update your speed and jump height when you become over encumbered, allowing my mod to take over. Your sprint time and jumps will still be counted though, so when you become un encumbered again Athletics Training will set the correct buffs.

I won't have much time to work on it today or tomorrow, but I hope to have it done by the end of the weekend.
