About this mod

Those pesky imperial tax collectors after you again? Worry no more. A quick jab to the base of their neck with this little shiv will solve all your problems. And don't worry about the law, because this thing is so small that the guards won't even find it in a pat-down.

Permissions and credits
My first successful mod.

First and foremost, I have to thank BlazeLeeDragon for this very helpful video tutorial. It's the reason I even tried doing this again.

And I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without the posts from SmexxxxyJeans's page:

Now then, onto the mod.

The Ornate Steel Shiv is a very small dagger compered to, say, the iron dagger. This wasn't intentional, but I think it turned out well. Also, I was too lazy to make a custom sheath, so it uses the same one as the iron dagger. Oh, and by the way, this was made using Blender 2.73, GIMP, NifSkope and the CK. The base stats are below.

-Damage: 5
-Weight:  1
-Value:    20
-Speed:    1.3

I tried setting the damage to be the same as the steel dagger, but in-game, it is slightly less. Nonetheless, it makes sense because it's smaller.

ACQUISITION:
For crafting, the shiv requires the Steel Smithing perk, and it is under the "steel" tab in the forge. It requires a steel ingot, an iron ingot, and a leather strip. Tempering requires one steel ingot.

INSTALLATION:
MO- The folder structure now "Looks Good" according to Mod Organizer. No need to set a data directory.
NMM- I can't say. I use MO. It should be straightforward though, it's just a weapon.
Manual- Drop the archive in the data folder and extract it there.

PERMISSIONS:
You may use this in your own mods or other projects. You may also improve this mod and re-upload your changes to the nexus or any other site. Just make sure I get some credit.

HELP WANTED:
As this is my first successful mod, I still have much to learn. If you see anything wrong with this weapon, or you just have some helpful pointers, let me know.

Changes
1.01 - I changed the material keyword from "iron" to "steel" so it appears under the correct smithing category.
