Introduction

Finding moving house in Skyrim to be a pain I looked for a mod to help me with that; I settled on Summonable Ethereal Chest and that was my prime inspiration for creating this. Finding and picking up all of my stored items in my home and walking encumbered seemed like a waste to time, I wanted something to pack my room, into a chest, while I just.., well watched. Also seeing as there is some reddit best home competition on atm, this moving home helper maybe more topical.

Features

3 Spell Scrolls, Pack Room, Summon Chest and Unsummon Chest
A Wisp packs the entire room contents into the summoned chest that you then can summon at your new place.
Summon and unsummon the chest at you leisure, anywhere; If you have the scrolls :P
Scrolls can be bought, via random stock from mage sellers. (Whiterun, dragons reach for a start)
2x Pack Room and Summon Chest Scrolls 1x Unsummon chest are gifted to the player on installation.

Recommended Use

  • Choose your new home
  • Cast "Removals Pack Room" at your old house (if your house has more than 1 room, repeat)
  • Goto your new home and cast "Removals Summon Chest"
  • Unpack the Removals Chest into your inventory and place it where you want it.
  • Cast "Removals Unsummon Chest" to get rid for the chest.

Help Please

Experienced modders please tell me what I'm doing wrong, I've included the source in the archive.
  • It's not very efficient; parsing all kCell.GetNthRef(iIndex, 0) and skipping, as I have done, !(Xref_itemtotakeX.GetGoldValue() > 0 || Xref_itemtotakeX.GetWeight() > 0) surely there must be a better way to check if an object_ref/form can be put into your inventory.
  • I have tried adding a custom chest under the mage in dragons reach, added a custom faction and used the quest init to add the mage to the custom faction. It's all included, he still doesn't sell from the box so added, via quest init script, to the random sell list he has. Anyways what am I doing wrong?

That Said

The mod works fine, tested moving to 3 different home, no faults. Just looking to optimise ^^

Known Issues

  • The wisp doesn't pack armour displays or weapon / dagger racks. You need to do this manually. Pick them up and place into the chest.
  • It will not harvest flowers; it could do but you need something to do while the wisp does all the work.
  • If used in a dungeon it'll take from locked boxes (I'll update that next version)

Will now check if you are a member of the room owning faction or if the room belongs to you. If it's owned by someone else then wisp will not spawn. I have checked this to be working in breezehome (will pack) an Elianora custom house (will pack) and Dragons Reach in White Run (won't pack). Unowned random dungeon (will pack)
