I'm currently having the same issue using MO. The AV patcher is not recognizing the package. It shows no screen to pick but you untick the Husky 2K and it works normally. I used the fix you supplied, but do you do it from within MO in the Information - File Tree section?
Any tip would be appreciated, so far everything but the 2K Husky work.
I love the textures. Used them with the unique husky patch as I don't feel like downloading AV, and these textures make for a much smoother fit into my game (I'm using Lumen ENB and it's perfect)
Would love to use this but I got a problem. When I activate this mod in Mod Organizer and run AV; then click the Open button after Texture Variants, I get nothing but a blank screen.

I have 7 other AV mods activated and they don't give me this issue. I don't see others in these comments having any similar issue. Is there some special step I have to take to get this to work? I've downloaded this mod 3 times and every time I have this same issue. Also tried this alone without the other AV Packages activated. Still same thing.
Also having this issue as well and I fixed it by going into the mod and changing the 'Fur Coloring' folder included in the mod to be called 'Skin' instead which is concistant with the other AV packs
