As I said in the description, this mod will look better with HD textures for the bridge.

The textures it uses are stone textures from dungeons. I looked around at a few options and would like to personally recommend The Beauty of Skyrim - Dungeons for a subtle improvement on the vanilla look.

Worth a try, but it probably needs some work in TES5Edit to prevent water flow glitches in the edited cells.

I just tried a CK resave and an error indicates changes to navmesh will result in high level pathfinding taking longer in game

Always was a big fear of mine, every time I crossed this thing I was afraid that one slight bump of my mouse would send me and my horse to our deaths because it's that goddamn thin.

There seems to be a navmesh problem on the road between Dragon Bridge to Solitude, with the mod installed, my followers often get stuck on that road, but follows fine as soon as I uninstall the mod. The exact spot is about 2 or 3 min on foot out of Dragon Bridge village.

Besides for this slight problem, otherwise splendor mod.

Compatible with South Dragon Bridge, Lanterns of Skyrim, Hold Border Banners or Immersive Hold Borders?

As I've said before, this can safely be used alongside just about any other mod. If you get clipping / floating objects in game, you can disable things with the console, move things with Jaxons Positioner, or make your own quick patch in the CK.

Lanterns of Skyrim has a toggle in the MCM that gets rid of lanterns in towns, which is largely there to resolve compatibility issues. I use the mod myself, and I've had no problems with lanterns in towns disabled.

A user made a patch for Hold Border Banners.

Should be fixable just by changing your load order. I haven't tried that mod, but I know that if you load this after any other mod that touches the bridge itself, it will override whatever the other mod is doing. That's not to say you won't get clipping, misplaced objects or npc pathing issues with something else installed, but this could technically be used with just about anything.

Great job on this! It feels right. Dragons are huge, so it only makes sense that Dragon Bridge would also be and does not look so underwhelming anymore. Thanks for this!

I hate to be that person, but any chance of making this compatible with Dawn Of Skyrim Director's Cut? I have both installed and DOS adds some banners on the bridge that are floating in air when using this mod, because of the bridge size. It's ok if you don't want to, I can go into the CK and edit myself, but I thought you might want to include a patch since DOS is pretty popular. Either way, endorsed!

EDIT: Sorry nevermind it wasn't Dawn Of Skyrim it's actually Hold Border Banners mod that adds the extra Banners on the Dragon Bridge. It looks like it will be pretty easy to move them, so I will try playing around with that in the CK to create my own patch.

I don't plan on making patches for this. You can fix that stuff in the CK, disable stuff with the console that looks bad, or move stuff in-game with Jaxons Positioner.

Anyway, I'm glad you like it!

I figured out how to fix the banners of the other mod, so I made a patch and uploaded it here.

Your awesome mod also made it possible to add fire braziers along the bridge, due to its larger size. So I added an optional "fire" version of my patch which adds some braziers and also some torches, giving the bridge a more ominous look at night (torches near the eyes). Check it out. If you like that idea want to merge/incorporate that with your mod I'm totally cool with that. Just let me know.

      Thanks again for your mod!

      That looks neat!

Honestly you can just feel free to promote that as its own separate mod, including my changes and whatever else you want to add. I left the permissions on this wide-open, because scaling up the bridge is something anybody could do. Like I said in the fine print, you can totally use the bigger bridge (and minor navmesh edits) in your own mods with no permission or credit necessary.

Cool thanks! I'll take your suggestion and make that it's own mod and will keep the patch with Hold Border Banners separate for those who need it.

A simple but very effective change! Dragon Bridge simply doesn't feel right to me without this mod anymore. The first time I played through the game, I didn't even realize it was a distinct landmark. But now, it's quite a sight to see. Good stuff.

Please make a JK's, Immersive Settlement and cutting room floor compatible version, than it's prettier.

How are they incompatible? I use Cutting Room Floor myself, and I haven't noticed any conflicts.

I think some people just ask for JK compatibility on every mod before they even read the name. But cool mod btw dude, do you think the "Touring Carriages" will be able to cross it?

Touring Carriages only runs into trouble if a mod puts obstacles in their path or messes up the navmesh. This mod actually widens the road pretty significantly, and the navmesh is only changed by gently scooting it around to fit the new layout, so they should have an easier time crossing the bridge than ever! If you do run into any kind of problem with it, please report back, but I think you'll be just fine.

Actually there is an issue with JK's changes to Dragon Bridge because JK added gate houses to all the entrances to the town including the end of the bridge and the new gate house doesn't align with the bigger bridge in this mod and clips into it because the bigger bridge carries further on in to the town itself. The gatehouse needs moving with it's markers, the nav mesh fixed and the landscape pulled around.
'Do it yourself Caerendil!' I hear you cry, and you're right, and I have indeed tried playing around in the CK to fix it but all I end up doing is creating a right old mess
If anyone with more talent than I in these things fancies making an version that works with both this mod and JKs I for one would be hugely grateful because I really like both the mods.

@heyiforgot - I did because until I recently played it I wasn't sure how much JK's covered up or added. There are compatibility issues with it on some city/village files. It's better to ask and erase all doubt if the mod author informs you personally. I use CRF as well and I'm not seeing any issues yet with any other mod with or without .

Good work @NerdOfPrey (By the way, awesome nickname )

You should try the Windhelm bridge next. Usually it's easier to ask questions, especially if you have tried the file personally. The JK Skyrim in some areas adds many small items, tables, barrels, furniture and lights and has some compatibility issues. I haven't used ETaC yet, probably on my next play through but it's good to know this works with it.

      Great File - Endorsed.

@caerendil - yeah I was thinking the same thing. I receive merged plugins that sometimes require navmeshes to be rebuilt or fixed and I haven't the first clue how to fix it - yet.

bummer it doesnt work with hold banners or lanterns of skyrim

both have the banners/lanterns randomly placed assuming where the orignal bridge was

if you could make a patch it would be awesome as this does look really nice but gonna have to uninstall for now (tried disabling the lanterns but they dont seem to wanna go)

    either way endorsed
