I am wondering if the original creator of this implemented some deep AI work into her. Since through at least 4 years of using her i have never encountered a follower, neither vanilla one nor modded, to have so much variety in spell usage. So far i have given her lots of spells from the following mods:
Midas Magic Evolved Inferno Envoys of End Inferno Blood Marked Arcanum Apocalypse Psijic Teleport Secrets
And somehow she manages to make use of nearly every single spell given to her. Like within the first 15-20 seconds into combat, it is very likely that i wont see her using same spell twice. She is good at employing nearly everything: damage-dealing ranged "fire and forget"? Of course! Crowd control spells with knockback/knockdown? Easy! Some AoE heals? Why not if necessary! Various buffing stuff? No problem! Same applies to shouts from mods. Frequently trying out some new ones, there was a case that got me. Her common combat style involves keeping distance, kiting and throwing various damaging spells from distance, yet she wont mindlessly do this if the opposing units attempt to approach or attack from range, both cases mostly result in her using some crowd control to disrupt the attemt. So while trying out opposing her via friendly spar mod, i encountered this: early into combat, she used a short-cooldown (i think 10seconds or so) debuffing shout which lasts for half of the minute, then kited away from me while throwing damage. I stood still to see what happens next. Imagine my shocked stupor when i saw her approaching to reapply the debuff shout when it was about to expire, only to kite away again afterwards...
The only spells she does not use on regular basis throught the rotation are Illusion ones, maybe cause her illusion level stays pretty low even at her current level of 106.
I would call her AI scratchless, if not a single massive issue: if one succeeds approaching her into melee range, she tends to make excessive usage of ward spells, even against physical weapons. It would be better if she focused on crowd controlling in such cases to get the opportunity to kite away again.
Yet still, this is my favourite follower AI-wise. And for sure i can say that if there is a spell from a mod that she does not use, then for sure no other follower (no matter vanilla or modded) will ever use it either.
Nevermind spell usage, she has some amazing dialogue. I don't think any other npc uses young eager voice, and this one has so many unique lines. She even has some interesting lines I would never expect to hear in a video game depending on what you do ingame, like she was some kind of true AI in one moment. It was completely surreal.
SOLVED Just install the Oldrim file into SE, it works fine! At least for me. I tried porting it and it didn't work, but just installing the file as-is works perfectly.
I love it, is there any mod that increase the follower limit and at the same time not interfere with Lamae's AI. I recently read that follower managers tend to mess up custom followers, that's why I'm looking for something simple.
