Known Issues: - If you have a class which starts the game off with level 5 smithing, then you can't complete the smithing tutorial quest until you level up smithing a bit (you need to have a higher smithing skill in order to temper the dagger).
When updating to version 1.45, make sure that the Thief Stone ability is not active (visible) in your active spell effects list prior to saving and updating. Other than that, you can just replace the old files with the new ones and continue your save.
If Updating from 1.0, then I strongly recommend starting a new character or else reverting to a save prior to installing Disparity, rather than trying to update from Version 1.0.
Compatibility information can be found in the mod description as well as the forum tab above.
Custom Race Support I have created a topic (see the forum tab above) to discuss adding support for custom races. If you have a custom race that you'd like to see supported, then please make your suggestions there.
In putting together the 2.2 update, I checked all of the outstanding bug reports and actioned the ones I was able to reproduce. Given the age of many of the outstanding bug reports (some going back to 2016), in most cases I didn't reply and just closed the report as either "Not a Bug" or "Fixed". Apologies if you reported a bug and never received a response. I've left a pair of bug reports as "Being Looked At", because, although I was unable to replicate the issues, I think they do warrant some further investigation.
I'm trying to save it as a form 4 so I can play on SE but I'm having difficulties with creation kit. Could you please make a SE version, this is probably one of the best immersion/rpg/realism mods out there. Or does anyone know an alternative?
I have a suggestion for your SE version though I understand if you are to busy to make any changes. But I think it would be cool if you get less XP for all skills outside your class, maybe 50% of vanilla experience, it would be nice if it was customizable in MCM also. Although, even if you didn't do this, Disparity is still one of the greatest mods of all time
Thanks for the suggestion! It probably isn't something that will make it into the SE version initially, but I have made a note of it as something to consider for any future updates.
So I'm sure this is not the first time this has been asked but right now the methods for searching the posts is unavailable (Nexus upgrade) and I haven't seen it asked in the last few pages which go back a couple of years so....
Is there anyway to un-hook the racial bonuses from the cosmetic appearance of my character? I.e. in the MCM where I confirm my race and gender, why can't I just select any race/gender I like and have the appropriate effects applied? I know this can lead to unrealistic combinations (like tiny waif with Olympic weightlifter stats) but I'd like that to be my choice, not predetermined by how I like my character to look cosmetically.
In my particular case, I love how my Breton looks but really want the racial bonuses of a Khajiit.
I can also think of many RP type characters that might benefit from this (I.e. Brienne of Tarth type who should get all the male bonuses while still being female).
It's not something this mod is currently able to do, but all racial abilities are set up as Spell records, so it's theoretically possible to just add/remove the relevant spells from your character, either using papyrus scripting or console commands.
Yes, using console commands was what I eventually ended up doing.
For me, a pretty small, once of, inconvenience compared to the coolness of the mod.
And doing it this way did allow me to have even better control over what exactly I did and didn't 'give' my new character (I.e. no night vision, or Claws).
And because I didn't say it in my original post, thank you for this, and your very many other mods. They are all absolutely fantastic in their concepts, design and production and I hope you will continue to generously give your time and skills for free.
And to everyone else, if you want to encourage mod authors like kryptopyr to continue to produce such excellent content and distribute it here on Nexus instead of Bethesdas new paid store, please seriously consider donating just a few dollars to their Patreon.
Morningstar - Minimalistic Races of Skyrim: So I assume I will have no problems using these mods together, yes? I'm gonna try it. To be honest though, all I want from Disparity is the gender differences. I don't know of any other mods that make changes like that.
Update: After testing it for about 5 minutes, I can confirm it works without issue. This mod is so customizable in the MCM, I'm impressed.
Out of all the races and gender changes mods that I've found your is almost the perfect one. However, like any other mod of this kind, gender changes are essentially male>female. I was just about to play a female character on 3rd person only. It would be nice if females were weaker but faster.
There is little reason to play as a female when it has such major setbacks and unnoticeable, irrelevant bonuses compared to males. Realistic. lol
I wish the physical penalty was a little more bearable though, 20% to 30% less damage is way too much, especially when playing on legendary. In Morrowind, the only difference between genders was a minor stat difference, no penalties. Giving a major penalty for picking a gender is like saying "f*#@ you for playing female" lol playing a female Breton Spellsword has become a distant dream. May as well go full mage.
That's not realistic considering that all female athletes agree that males are faster and stronger and why transgender women are breaking all records and dominating women's sports.
I love this mod female are weaker than male and adds wild cat and I need mod with game of thrones mod and no migac mod and unbound skyrim to remove dragon's it will make a fun and immersive game play when playing a female character dragonborn. I want to play a female dragonborn human in game of throne but be dragonborn female with out the dragon shout. My female dovahkiin will be controlled or have very hard time day in and out controlling the dragon instincts to dominate and power. I almost forgot ? my female dragonborn is use in death is highly overrated because dragon souls from skyrim are or dragon are immortal because of the souls and killing them wil only be the body and come back later. My dragonborn was rebirth to the game of thrones because of the dragon souls and a lot of dragon souls she collected. She trying to live a normal life in game of thrones but she's dragon instincts that will of power and domination keep growing she and very day because of this problem ? she gets stronger and learn skills that is combat and thief ? but not magic skills remember my dragonborn female can't use dragon shout and migac but have a soul of a dragon. she will be muscle over time because of dragon instincts telling her to get stronger and more skills to get more powerful. I what to play a immersive game of thrones with the female dragonborn and make my dragonborn very powerful in a immersive way what do you guys think of it.
For some reason playing as a khajiit gives me imperial bonuses. Like when getting into a fight I get like 6 or 7 imperial bonuses like courage, fortified skills, etc. I dont have any other race mods (I had imperious but uninstalled it and started a brand new game) and the only mod that manages khajiits is Khajiit overhaul and that only affects meshes and textures. I turned off "Modified racial abilities" but I still get the bonuses. Has this happened to anyone else? I was going to report it as a bug but i dont even know if it IS a bug or if i have something else setting it up like that. in the MCM my race says "Khajiit". from the Skyrim Reputation mod, it says I am a khajiit- just getting imperial bonuses.
Edit: Super dumb... sorry, I realize now it is probably Lucien Flavius (an Imperial follower) giving me these bonuses.

I've been waiting for the official SE port for so long. I made my own a while ago but it does not play well with FISS SE.
Edit: Just remembered this from memory but I believe Inigo may also still require a patch once this is ported to SE

not true. You're right in theory but its not actually happening
Do you think you'd be able to get his permission to port it over to SE? I could send you the file.
@Nipunlmesh, yes, it also affects NPCs.
