This mod adds a LotR-Style Longpipe with a smoking animation sequence.

A lot of users asked us to have a pipe smoking mod without the Cannabis related content from our Cannabis Skyrim mod. As we listen to you and as the scripts and all the other assets were already there, here it is for your smoking pleasure! Even though Cannabis Skyrim has so much more to offer than just the drug part of the mod... The pipe will be filled with Elves Ear instead.

Please understand that our main focus is and will be on Cannabis Skyrim, we simply don't have the resources to maintain the development of two demanding mods. That doesn't mean, that parts of Cannabis Skyrim will find it's way to this mod as when new animations are created or other useful additions and fixes.

Features:

• A long smoking animation sequence for the Longpipe, there's smoke everywhere and a flame will light it up. Your character is sitting down in a lotus position when using the filled pipe so you can smoke with your companions at fireplaces and floors or other cuddly places. No chairs or markers needed!
• A non hostile spell used to fire at NPCs to make them perform the smoking animation
• The Pipe is craftable from Firewood at any Blacksmith's anvil
  

Advice:

To make the animations work, you need to download and properly install Fores New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS by Fore (you just need to install the behavior part of it).


Install:

• Install Fores New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS
• Extract the files from the archive to your ...\Skyrim\Data directory
• Start the Skyrim Launcher, click Data Files, check the PipeSmoking.esp file
  

Update:

• Extract the files from the archive into your ...\Skyrim\Data directory overwriting existing files
  

Clean Update:

• Start the Skyrim Launcher, click 'Data Files', uncheck the PipeSmoking.esp file
• Start Skyrim, go into another cell (i.e. from a exterior to an interior), wait at least three ingame days, save your game and exit
• Extract the Pipe Smoking update archive into your ...\Skyrim\Data directory overwriting existing files
• Start the Skyrim Launcher, click Data Files, check the PipeSmoking.esp file
  

Uninstall:

• Remove folder ...\Data\Meshes\Actors\Character\Animations\PipeSmoking
• Remove folder ...\Data\Meshes\PipeSmoking
• Remove folder ...\Data\Textures\PipeSmoking
• Remove file ...\Data\Meshes\Actors\Character\Behaviors\FNIS_PipeSmoking_Behavior.hkx
• Remove file ...\Data\PipeSmoking.bsa
• Remove file ...\Data\PipeSmoking.esp
  

Hints:

• You can view the animation much better when you go to 3rd person mode before using the pipe!
• Thou shalt never, never have more than one unfilled pipe with ye! The curse of the unusable pipe is about to haunt ye. Be warned!
  

FAQ:

Q: Guys, you're lying! There are no animations!
A: Make sure you've properly installed the behavior part of Fores New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS. Always update FNIS and then regenerated your behaviour files with every new game or mod update! Try some other modder's animations and if they won't work as well we suggest to visit Fore's modpage for troubleshooting.

Q: Hey, where the hell is that spell?
A: The spell will be in the alteration section of your Magic menu. It's called "Summon Longpipe" and will be added automatically.

Q: I can't find the Pipe!
A: You must craft one first at a Blacksmith's anvil... Go get some Firewood!

Q: How to fill the pipe?
A: You need some Elves Ear and then you can activate the Pipe in your Inventory's Misc section. Don't mind the stupid text that you cannot equip the item. You will find the filled pipe in your Potions section.
