Future work and Questing - as at 8 Mar 24 The Project so far:
When I began this project nearly 4 years ago it was focused on providing the background for a specific D&D campaign questline and I chose Breti’s large Newworld worldspace to host it. My focus changed when I realised that there was enough ground area for me to build the whole world that I had imagined 40 years ago; to translate fantasy, into well, fantasy. In D&D you draw your maps so you can have places for characters and enemies to come from, in Skyrim you can build those places too. You can build the Temple where the Priest worships and the Ranger Guild that the Ranger serves and suddenly you have a world. And also the Skyrim part became rather bigger than intended so its a separate mod.
Progress Report on future releases:
Pirates of the North Version 4+
1. Skyrim Pirate Quests - 12 2. Side quests and Miscellaneous quests for the two Northern Towns and Islands 3. Volcanic Islands (worldspace and externals done)
When all the quests are in the Mod will be re-released as (will require clean save or new game):
The Inner Temple of Ninlil and the Ziggarut of Enlil can not be entered unless you are invited. If you attempt to do so the Gods will be unhappy and kill you. This may be harsh but peolpe do like to cheat to get through locked doors!
The Temples are protected by the Gods who are a lot more powerful than you are, any violence within the precincts is met by death.
I think the update should have been on requirements, coz as i see the mod doesent work without, i had to go and search on posts to find out it needed an update to work
man o man o man. The new update is amazing. I remember first playing morrowind and I had this sense of outlander feeling that is what this mod does that so many cannot! crazy work!!
Worldspace InjectedA worldspace master record is being injected into another plugin. This can happen if a patch expects a different version of a master plugin. Typically the patch was made for a newer version of the master plugin adding the injected worldspace itself. The master plugin is the one the worldspace is injected to. Install the correct versions of the involved plugins. This can happen if a plugin in the load order was made for a different game. For example a plugin made for Skyrim is installed to Enderal. This is most likely not intended and an error. The unneeded worldspace and its data should probably be removed from the plugin among other updates that might be required for converting the plugin for the different game. Should i be worried?
Sadly, I have never been able to understand what this means and what to do about it. Skyrim itself seems to do a lot of injecting things into other things as well. Everything however seems to work.
Apologies for yet another question regarding Dyndolod, i hope you don't mind?
TexGen gives me some missing texture errors for some of the trees of your mod, this is what it says: Error: File not found textures\landscape\gkbbranch1.dds.dds. Used by Meshes\landscape\trees\mangrovereachtree0gkb2.nif ShumerNWa.esp AATreeMango02 [TREE:24459F99]

Somebody else pointed this out and I checked the meshes, they all require those textures to be in textures\landscape\trees directory (where they are) not the one Dyndolod says. Makes sense really as the meshes are in the meshes\landscape\trees directory.
That's interesting; I presume the ".dds.dds" texture is different from the ".dds" texture. If this is the case those textures were not provided by the mesh author.
would be great to connect somehow shumer with DBM anyway great job i see alot of passion and work here wonderfull but the quest to find the journal of the librarian from new eridu somewhere near or around a tomb..... well that sucks (but additem helped me) im still on shumer just 3\4 from map discovered and i was alredy in the temple at kohlinor (just forgotten that i should not) and all was ok people there was gently and spoked to me nicey even tell me that i'm welcome
The Journal is in front of the blocked entrance to the "Tomb of the Lugal" which is North East of Southern Watch Bastion. Walk along the coast road from New Eridu and go North at the Salapan Embassy.
You absolutely need to visit the Temples as part of the quest "Introduction to the Gods", more people will talk to you once you have done that quest. The priests in the Temples will be friendly and helpful unless you try and fight them.
ok i uncovered all the map, and problem with mountains textures mostly in the far west area problem with quest markers who appears randomly, mostly not at all and the objectives in MCM journal could be more clear because if you dont read (and memorize) carefully what says the questgiver.... well ther yu'll have some troubles to find out. two times alredy i was obliged to reload a previous save just to read again the questgiver dialog. and the directions isnt really relyable ex; for the sea cave quest it tells me is at south east of lagar but in fact is at south-west and more like that but i cant remember. anyway still a really good work and i enjoy the exploring new eridu is really big and stable thanks! have forgot, missing exterior at the brewery in tahlinor ( i mean i have only the doors visible from outside) but that could be me? and for musiga's quest it was really funny because i could not find the book inside her shop and i additem that but then the quest was stuck (i have used an FG spell on musiga and that's why the quest was stuck i suppose) then to unblock that i make musiga follow me to lagar tavern 'also with an FG spell) and taht worked quest ended
Some users are concerned about the load of adding more cities to skyrim. If possible, would you consider a version that adds one or two more cities to skyrim? Sorry if this is just not possible. Please respond promptly.
I played this mod when it just appeared. Last version I played it was almost exactly 5 yrs ago. Since then, there was a great development. The most noticeable, in my opinion, is that most of the persons you meet being useful for a quest are well voiced. Still, in this mod, there's the bad habit to have a lot of "human critters", persons that have nothing useful to say, and are spawned everywhere. As well as plenty of guards, doing nothing else in the day that saying you "tread carefully" or something alike; they don't propel game, but occupy a lot of memory that could be used better. Cities not being walled multiply this problem - ok they are teeming with life as they should be, but again slowing the processing of the game.
This mod is however very new in Skyrim - an entire parallel new world, amateur of archaeology can understand which, because names as Eridu or Warka and many others are self-explaining, not placed in another "plane", but just existing not so far - with its habits, gods, politics... If you enter Shumer, you really enter another reality.
The biggest problem that I had in playing it was not to find a true player home from the beginnings. Once arrived in Dagana's landing one should be free to buy a home, or at least a safe storage place for your items. Reading books it's important in the game and now, more or less all quests played, I had not the opportunity of buying a player home, or just a safe storage unit. The result is that half of my weight now is occupied by books. I've not a place where to safely store them. Maybe I missed something ?
Agerweb is absolutely fantastic in designing interiors. His booksellers' stores, bakeries, toy stores &c are the best I've seen in years of playing. Also his grottoes and dungeons are well designed.
To play the quests wiki is a great help. Just keep in mind that names can have a different spelling - in a quest in a fishermen's village to the East the name was completely different.
I could add more positive and mildy negative notes, but I think this review is enough. Just one: play this mod ! ------------------- Ok , in Dagana Landing you can immediately buy a player's home. It's named Dagana Lodge, it is placed a bit inside but you can recognize it for a chair with a pelt on placed outside. It has a sign to the left of the door "for sale". You must interact with this, and the house is yours for 500 golds. Agerweb, thanks to have explained all this, and shame on me for not having noticed before.

Will this be completed this year?
We look forward to its completion.
This would definitely be a great mod.

What would you advise?
So ignore it.
The third texture with the wrong path is used for the soft lighting effect, so it is not very obvious if it is missing.
In case of questions or problems use the official DynDOLOD support forum for qualified answers and help.
Anyway, i changed the texture paths of the meshes in Outfit Studio and those trees didn't look any worse for it so it was easily fixed.
anyway great job
i see alot of passion and work here
