I'm tired.  So tired. - Weezer, singing about coitus.

TL;DR

*Phlrglbrbl* Ack! *Phlgrbrdgb* APOLLO WHY U MAKE OG DROWN??

NOT UNREALISTIC MOVEMENT

Movement is now more realistic - backing up is significantly slower, turning while sprinting or casting a spell is significantly harder, moving while casting a spell is significantly slower, sprinting is significantly faster, and turning is generally slightly slower when it would make sense.

GO HOME, DOVAHKIIN.  YER DRUNK.
Yup, you guessed it, you can trip now.  No, not on shrooms.  But if you're holding please see me after the break.

MSO calculates the chance you will trip by multiplying a calculation of how much health, magicka, and stamina is drained from you by a coefficient based on the movement type(walk/jog, run, land from jump) which is multiplied by a random coefficient.  If the resulting number is greater than the set threshold, you will trip and fall and possibly break a nail.

ADRENALINE
Once every hour, if you run out of stamina it is automatically replenished.

WALK AND CHEW BUBBLEGUM
Part 1: Stamina regeneration is affected by how much stamina you have.  The more stamina you have, the faster it will regenerate.  If you ever run out of breath it will last twice as long as Vanilla.  Regen delay has been increased.

Part 2: Sprinting consumes slightly more stamina.  Jogging consumes a small amount of stamina and stops stamina regen.  Swimming consumes a moderate amount of stamina and stops stamina regen.

Part 3: Your stamina is automatically increased by 100.

DROWNIN' IN YOUR LOVE
Part 1:  The breath timer has been reduced in length.  While drowning, you are damaged by 16% of your health per second.

Part 2: If you have 0% stamina while swimming, the water will pull you under.  This is bad.

MCM'S EVERYWHERE
As a member of the EGO family, MSO has an MCM which will let you toggle Adrenaline, drowning, and edit the trip threshold.

I STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND - WHAT IS THIS AND WHAT DOES IT DO

This mod focuses on movement in Skyrim, and its relation to player stats, especially stamina.  This mod will make the game feel more realistic, and will reward intelligence and punish stupidity.

KNOWN ISSUES

Please visit the EGO bug tracker for a list of all known issues and incompatibilities associated with this mod.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

"I HATE YOUR DESCRIPTIONS YOU ARE A TERRIBLE PERSON DIEDIEDIE."
Ok.

"Why?"
Because, like most things in Skyrim, movement is not very well fleshed out.  The majority of changes I have made with this mod are designed to challenge the user, and reward them for intelligent movement.  Now you can't jog everywhere, because being Dovahkiin doesn't automatically make you a cross-country runner.  Sprinting is faster, because in real life sprinting is much faster than jogging.  You can trip, because - you know, you can trip.  Stamina regen now makes more sense, and if you run yourself out of breath, you will be punished for it, if only by losing your hourly adrenaline boost(which you will find yourself using often - consider the fact that in vanilla you are constantly jogging throughout combat - this completely destroys that tactic if you're planning on ever swinging a sword).  You will need to approach situations more carefully than you did in vanilla, and really consider what it means to be tired.  Stamina is now a simply more important attribute than determining how fast you can get from Riverwood to Whiterun.  Also, and I can't repeat this enough - don't drown.  You will feel like a dummy.

"Could you possibly explain better how tripping works?  Why is it connected to health, magicka, and stamina, instead of just stamina?"
How tripping works is slightly complicated - essentially the further your health, magicka, and stamina drop, the more likely you are to trip(depending on what you are doing).  The reason I use all three attributes is because in all honesty, the total loss of one(aside from health) should not cause you to fall.  If you are physically tired in real life, you can usually still manage not to trip unless you get unlucky.  However, if you are physically tired, mentally tired, and/or in pain, you are more likely to trip.

"I don't like this mod."
Then don't use it.

"I'm tripping too much!"
Then raise the threshold.

"Did you steal this mod?  I feel like you stole it.  I dunno......there has to be a mod like this out there...."
Yes.  I got this idea from CrushBoss' mod, Backup Movement Speed Reduction.  I thought the idea was brilliant and I decided I wanted to expand on it.  I'd apologize, but his solution was effective and brilliant and something the modding community hadn't seen before even though it was right in front of us the whole time.  It was simply required that I expand on it.  It should be noted that these two mods are incompatible, but only with the NOT UNREALISTIC MOVEMENT module.  If you prefer CrushBoss' mod's movement edits, feel free to load his mod after this.

"Why the Stamina bump?"
Because more stamina will be required of you to do things.  This provides balance, and also, by increasing your available stamina, I'm able to keep you at not-full-stamina for longer periods of time, making for more interesting gameplay, without detracting from gameplay.  Jogging, sprinting, and swimming distances can be mroe realistic this way, and will be able to affect later game builds.

"Does this affect NPCs?"
YES.  Bipedal NPCs are affected by ALL modules except for the stamina bump.

"Ok Apollo.  I know this is a scriptfest.  how much lag should I expect?"
You will notice slightly increased script lag as the result of this mod, but it shouldn't break the bank.  I've coded this in such a way that the effects are called naturally as opposed to through updates, so it shouldn't be that bad.  That being said, I can reduce the load further but I want to see how the beta runs for people first.  Really, it's not that bad.

"So...how much should I expect this to screw up my game?  It is in beta after all."
It's all good - the beta simply denotes a need for testing for balance.  The scripts are relatively simple and I've heard I'm pretty good at this.  Nevertheless, there's always a chance that I accidentally summoned Cthulu with one of my scripts if I made a mistake, so make sure to have a backup save handy.  The Great One is coming.  None shall stand in his path.  All hail Cthulu.

"Is this compatible with X?"
In most cases, yes.  Of course, always check with TESVEdit first, but you should be fine in most cases, except where a mod directly edits Movement Data(and VERY few do, the only other mod I know of that changes those values than the one I stole the idea from is actually Dragon Combat Overhaul).

"You're really phoning in the descriptions these days."
Your momma.
