been playing Enderal lately and I thought it was strange that you can walk knee deep in water and it doesn't slow you down or splash like when doing so for real.
Is their a mod that causes you to slow down when walking/trudging through water/snow so the deeper you are slower you move but does not affect movement when swimming?
I like this mod, but this is a request. I want this to work on players only. I just don't want to install this in fear that i might nerf the enemy mages in my game too much.
Such a simple mod, yet has an absolutely profound impact on gameplay. Running around in all directions at full speed without this mod just looks and feels extremely unnatural. Endorsed.
With this mod a new problem arises though. You're able to move backwards to the side at a much faster speed than straight backwards. This is present in vanilla too of course, but since you lowered the back speed even more, it's all the more obvious. All I have to do to keep abusing the system is to press back + left/right. I'd like to see a human walk backwards to the side faster than straight backwards IRL. It should be a lot harder in fact. Another odd thing is that you lowered the Walking speed backwards too, as well as shifted the balance between different combat styles a bit. But I've made my own mod to counter these problems.
I would have to lower left and right movement speed by the same amount to solve the problem. This would be overkill for most players. Players who wish to cheat will cheat. I still wanted players to have the ability to circle and strafe the enemy just not backpeddle their way to victory by avoiding the enemy completely (by always keeping the enemy at range).
This mod is very frustrating and amazingly more realistic at the same time. I was so used to back peddling that I have to catch myself now. I'm getting good at running past an enemy then spinning around as I swing my weapon. If I time it right I run past on their follow through, spin as they are readying another attack, then I strike where they cannot defend or block. Of course with the mods I use they always seem to have friends waiting for me to make my move
I fixed one of the most abused and unrealistic things in Skyrim - backpedding (running backwards at high speed) to conquer all enemies. I now move side to side and circle my enemies which helps but isn't unrealistic or abusive. I also use your tactics.
I have used the mod now for a long while. I really like it. It adds a lot to the realism factor without spoiling the game. Deserves its endorsements.I though I would miss not having mcm menu options but no, the mod is fine without it.
Instead of stealing it, why don't we coauthor it and work together to improve it. We could have two versions, a scripted version and a non-scripted version.
You might also get some tips from Spooky if you ask, AKA Duke Patrick who is famously good at SKSE scripting, he started modding Oblivion using OBSE, and has continued his passion for SCA combat on Skyrim too http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1509367-duke-patricks-archery-heavy-light-and-h2h-combat - He makes tripping up over objects / dead bodies when walking backwards possible ( look for "Increased Backwards Speed Plus Trip And Fall Risk" )
yes, 1.3 was what I was looking for I'm mostly a light armor user, and I picked the easier version, cause I still want to be able to dodge and keep the mobility on certain occasions. But I like the idea of the in-combat change

So many ideas...

I would need a toggle for on off of course.
If I was home I could just dissect it but I am working.
Another script means nothing to sot, will be lost in a sea of over 500.
You will be credited with the initial idea, but this will now grow exponentially.
EDIT Tony, where do I make a request for the SKSE guys to allow us to edit movement type forms?
