         Hi !
First, i recommend you use this version:
      https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1756
This, can also open Special Edition archives, and has a few other improvements.
The use is very explicit and intuitive.
Click the "Open" button at the bottom left, or, enter the section on the bar "file -> Open Archives", navigate to where you have the BSA file, click the "Extract Folders" button, select the folder (or create the new one) where you want to extract the files, then press the "Select Folder" button. Done. Nothing special.

      Thanks!

Are you using the latest version? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1756

The version on this page is outdated.

Thank You for a great tool for opening bsa files.
I have tried others but they are not usually as easy to use.Yours is 'noob proof'.
If you ever make a bsa repacker,I would surely be interested in that!

    Hello AlexxEG,
First off, thanks again for this great tool. It's still my preferred tool for BSA unpacking.

Not sure if you're still working on it, but if I may, I have a little suggestion for improvement.
If possible, add a checkbox for including/excluding subfolders in the list. It could be next to the 'Desc' checkbox.
That would be useful for only selecting files in a certain folder.

Anyway, thanks and keep up the good work!

Hey, happy you like it! :D

I'm dealing with stuff IRL so I've slowed down quite a bit, but still working on it.

About your suggestion. Do you mean only extracting files from a certain sub folder? If so then the newer versions will only ever extract what is currently visible in the list when using the buttons. So you would just click a sub folder in the left tree view and it will only extract that folder.

This page has kinda been retired so not sure if you're using an old version or not.

      Thanks for the reply,

What I mean is to only display files in the currently selected folder in the list, when subfolders are unchecked. For example, if there's a 'scripts' folder and a 'source' subfolder, only files in the 'scripts' folder will be listed. I've added a screenshot to make it more clear.

      (right click, show graphic)

Yes, I'm still using this version for Old-Skyrim, as I never had any problems with it. If this version is no longer maintained, maybe it could be implemented for the newer one? Thanks for consideration.

Oh, I understand now. Yeah that can definitely be done. As I said I don't get to work much on this atm, but it will most probably be done.

I'm not uploading new versions on this page since It's already a drag keeping the two current pages I have in sync :P

Sounds great! I will switch over to the new version then. And yeah, take your time, sometimes RL is more important.

      Thank you again!

    In-Depth review

    Personal Rating: POOR
    Difficulty to use: Intermediate
    Safe: NO | Contains AdWare!

    Personal Notes:
(Adware may be from FOMM, either way, be careful and READ ON!)
First off, f*** you! Now that that's out of the way I can begin. Within the first few hours of downloading/installing this program, everything was going great! After a few days I noticed my internet browser (Chrome) was running a little slower than usual. Just recently I was on Hulu watching some shows and stuff, when I was redirected to a site I didn't even know existed up until now (For safety reasons I will not give away the name of the website). After some research I discovered it was a product of a very clever piece of what I thought initially was just some mildly annoying piece of AdWare that turned out to be a Proxy gateway (Essentially a backdoor that can bypass passwords and most antivirus programs)! I was able to dispose of the program with some effort and frustration before it did anything serious... In short, STAY AWAY FROM THIS MOD IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PC AND ACCOUNT SAFETY!!! Otherwise works great!

      Sorry for late reply.

Yeah, this was definitively not from this program. Not sure what more I can say, I'm willing to show you whatever proof you'll need. Don't even know what a "Proxy gateway" is (though I can probably guess).

Any part of FOMM used in this program is not the cause either. I've familiarized myself with FOMM's code and there is nothing that would cause this.

To that GameGlitch: You better show proof that this program is indeed, um, malware. Most uploads here are scanned for viruses.

Perhaps there is more of a problem with your antivirus -- I hope it's NOT Chinese made.

The files have been scanned with 55 Antivirus software through VirusTotal (report), and only one of the smaller, less known AVs found anything, and did so through heuristics. I have also checked it on my computer, and it contains no malware.

Please refrain from accusing people in this manner, and instead use the report function if you suspect a file contains malware.

I'm also wondering if you can repack the files back into a .bsa archive.

The extract button doesn't seem to work. I've checked the folders I wished to extract to and they're all empty?
