About this mod
Adds a bound hunting knife to the hunting knives of Hunterborn. The knife improves with the conjuation level.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
The knife is like the other hunting knives in Hunterborn as in that it increases the skinning, harvesting, and butchering skills. How much each skill is buffed depends on your conjuration level. There are 5 grades for the buffs:
- Novice (conjuration < 25; basically like the stell hunting knife)
- Apprentice (conjuration >= 25 and conjuration < 50)
- Adept (conjuration >= 50 and conjuration < 75)
- Expert (conjuration >= 75 and conjuration < 100)
- Master (conjuration >= 100; basically like the dragonbone hunting knife)
When the spell is used a hunting knife corresponding to your conjuration level is added to your inventory and removed again after 2 (real time) minutes. The hunting knife is not displayed in your inventory and not equipped! So you cannot use it as a weapon. But you are a mage. Conjure something that is not just a knife! While you have a bound hunting knife in your inventory you will see a red glow around you.
Note: A bound hunting knife always wins over the "physical" one. So, when you have, for example, a dragonbone hunting knife in your inventory and conjure a novice level hunting knife, the conjured hunting knife will be used for skinning, butchering, and harvesting.
How to get the knife in the game
The knife can be obtained as a spell tome at various traders selling conjuration spell tomes (e.g. Farengar in Whiterun or Phinis Gnestor in the College of Winterhold).
Or
The spell can be added via the console with:
- Open the console with '~'
- Issue the command 'help "bound hunting knife"'
- The last command will give you the ID for the spell (look for the line starting with "[SPEL]"
- Issue the command 'player.addspell <ID>' where '<ID>' is the id you got in the previous command
