READ THIS IF THE PROPERTY SIGN IS NOT APPEARING

If the property sign is not appearing for you, here is a possible solution...

Go to Data > Meshes > Modders Resource Pack > Decoration

    and change 'PropertySign°.nif' to 'PropertySign.nif'

This is perfect.  The only thing missing is the water trough and hay bales for the stable.  Thanks.  I've endorsed.  Mara

Nevermind.  It's perfect.  I would like to have a trough, but can use a bucket instead.  Also, I can make hay bales with straw.  Thanks for a great mod!  Mara

Love this mod and I did endorse.  I will visit the mod every once in a while, to see if you add things.  I would love to see stairs instead of a trap door for the basement.  I also have a child now, although I chose a follower child rather than a vanilla one.  After 12 years of playing Skyrim, I can say this is the best of all the homes I've had.  Thank you.  Mara

I've just finished building my Cottage and I am SO HAPPY with it! I own every house in Skyrim yet was never happy with the amenities offered. So. Much. Useless. Junk. Everywhere. In all of them. Finding proper places to store my things (and somehow remember where I put them), being able to display the things I wished to display...these were things I wanted most but could not have, not until I found this mod. Everything is so neat and the space is used so effectively. There's even a place for your keys by the door. I love it. I LOVE IT. I'm moving my family here as soon as I finish this post.

To the creator, thank you for sharing your beautiful masterpiece of a mod with the community!!! You have made me and many others so happy and satisfied.

The unique item storage in the tower addition does not appear to want to display my Gauldur Amulet (unless it's hidden somewhere and I haven't found it yet).

It's hanging on the pillar to the right of the ingredient shelf.

Okay yep, there it is. Really easy to miss as it blends in quite well. Thanks for pointing it out! Really happy with this house mod so far.

Question. Does this work alongside the "Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions" mod? Since that one adds custom home support somewhat by adding a "bless home" ability to add a house to the list of places to tell the kid to go to, I figured I'd ask.

Anyone have any idea why the cottage's main building would disappear when the door is added? This is a really weird thing that has happened in my game. Everything else seems to work fine and the building appears just fine before the door is added. But when the door is constructed, the cottage building itself disappears and there's a door floating in midair. The door even works fine to enter to cottage.

Do you have any other mods installed that affect that area or Hearthfire in general? That's a very unusual bug and I never encountered it while testing the mod.

I was able to track this down to a conflict with something in All Homes Remodeled http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/44410

That mod has two versions - an all-in-one esp and a modular with separate esp for each house. I had been using the all-in-one version, but decided to switch to the modular version and exclude all the Hearthfire houses from it. After that I reverted to an earlier save and built Fellkreath Cottage again. This time the building stayed in place when the door was added. So, something in that mod is a conflict. I'm not sure what, but there it is.

If I could, I would endorse this mod more than once. I love everything in this mod; it fits nicely in the world of Skyrim and is very modular.

Really love this mod, endorsed! The only thing that seems missing is a display for Amulets of the Divines. If you do any further updates, that's something I would appreciate having.

    Hello

I endorsed this MOD already but after another day of playing with it I had to come back and say that this MOD is very under-rated and I hope that many more ppl give it a chance.I think they will be very pleasantly surprised. I know that I was. When I downloaded this MOD I thought it might be just a minor bit of diversion from the current longer length Quest that my hero is currently engaged in. Since I had seen the video included in the 'Posts' by another Nexus player, I had a few ideas about the location of the house and its (very) close proximity to the border. The location appealed to me because I currently have 8 other player house builds in various parts of Skyrim, but none sitting on THE Border, so I didn't feel it would cause any cell overlap issues with other MODS.

The cottage starts, as all Hearthfire themed homes, as an extremely simple four-walls and a roof cottage, no surprises (at first). This Player Home would probably be an excellent 'Starter Home' for anyone wishing to build a Hearthfire style house. The price is slightly cheaper (3500 septims vs 5000 for the other Hearthfire homes), and I didn't have to jump through minor sidequest hoops with a Jarl to get the property. Where this MOD shines is in its ability to surprise the builder.Several times as I viewed the options for the next items to build, I was delighted to find an unexpected option spring up. The layout of the cottage begins to shine when the outside porch and the small alchemy tower are added --- then the planters , then a basement ..... and so on. The interior furnishings that a player can build are a really nice mix of storage spaces and static decoration. The build did require several, okay, MANY trips to the woodchopping log, but overall I found that I had most of the other components already carried by my Dovahkiin. I did make 2 trips to Falkreath for some minor items (mainly iron ingots for nails, iron fittings and hinges), but all in all it was a slightly easier build in terms of supplies than a regular Hearthfire home. The little options to build really made this MOD shine though, the Guildergleam tree surprised me VERY much, the patio oven and the apiary outside were very cozy. The interior fireplace is gorgeous...and so on... and so on. I won't disclose everything that is special so that others can get the same sense of..."Wow, I didn't expect to see that in here"..... that I felt when building this home.

Two suggestions IF the Mod Author decides to update/expand on this MOD.I did find the lack of any... stuff, inside the stable to make it look too bare. Some straw, a watering trough...just something more is needed to 'complete' that area. Secondly, I would have really liked to see an additional double bed so my followers could rest too.Due to the current Quest I am on, I'm running around with two followers, so I did get that nagging feeling of...'somebody is sleeping on the floor, or in a chair...lol.Those are minor things, but I like my player homes to feel complete.

So, I would very much endorse AND tell my friends that play Skyrim, to give this mod a try.It is not for a Hero and his/her family, but more of a Rest Stop for a Dovahkiin that's busy and doesn't want to stop all the way back at their main Family Home for a full fledged visit with spouse and children. Perfect Home for the ..Solo Hero... or the Solo plus One hero... and darn near perfect for Any Dovahkiin that wants a Home to relax and get their second wind.

I give this home... THREE THUMBS UP !!! ..or maybe.... TWO THUMBS and ONE BIG TOE !*grins*...Just Try this Home, You'll like it.

Thank you very much for the review and feedback. The home was definitely designed with a solo character in mind.

Are you using 'custom family home'? The moving process is a little different and requires the use of a spell, rather than the default dialogue option.
