Changelogs
This mod is now available on Skyrim Special Edition!

If I was going around, filling in my map, myself, as I explored mines; I would put a note, on the map, as to what each mine was. That way I wouldn't go half way across the country and waste time mining in an iron mine, if I needed gold! This mod adds the type of ore in each mine to it's name on the map, so mines like 'Bilegulch Mine' become 'Bilegulch Mine (Orichalcum).' It also adds a number of map markers, to mines on the map, so that main cities don't have ores appended to their names.

MINES WITH ALTERED NAMES:
  • Bilegulch Mine (Orichalcum)
  • Embershard Mine (Iron)
  • Gloombound Mine (Ebony)
  • Kolskegger Mine (Gold)
  • Left Hand Mine (Iron)
  • Lost Prospect Mine (Gold)
  • Northwind Mine (Iron)
  • Soljund's Sinkhole (Moonstone)
  • Whistling Mine (Iron)

MAP MARKERS ADDED TO THE MAP:
  • Dushnikh Mine (Orichalcum)
  • Fenn's Gulch Mine (Silver)
  • Fort Fellhammer Mine (Iron)
  • Goldenrock Mine (Corundum)
  • Halted Stream Mine (Iron)
  • Iron Breaker Mine (Iron)
  • Mor Khazgur Mine (Orichalcum)
  • Quicksilver Mine (Quicksilver)
  • Redbelly Mine (Ebony)
  • Rockwallow Mine (Iron)
  • Sanuarach Mine (Silver)
  • Steamscorch Mine (Malachite)

MAP MARKER CHANGES:
  • Soljund's Sinkhole (Cave -> Mine): The cave is short, contains more then enough mining spots, and is the only Moonstone mine.
  • Darkwater Crossing (Mine -> Town): Goldenrock Mine is now marked, itself. The settlement can be shown as a settlement.

SKUP COMPATIBILITY MOD DIFFERENCES:
  • Updated Redbelly Mine to Iron.
  • Updated Northwind Mine to Ebony.

NOTE:
Please let me know if anyone sees any errors, or let me know if you have any requests or opinions. I am here to serve! This is a very simple mod; however, so I don't expect many.

Some people might find the inclusion of some map markers (like Fort Fellhammer) to be redundant, as there is a marker for the
Fort and the Mine. I, personally, wanted to be able to find a fort (or get the marker from a quest) without psychic knowledge that there was a mine inside. I also like the fort still being marked as a fort, not a mine. But tell me what you think!

CREDIT:
The original idea came from Boom's Detailed Map Markers. Unfortunately, Boom has not updated in quite a while and some of the markers are incorrect. Also, Boom's mod is only available on the Skyrim Workshop. As I hate the workshop, I decided to rebuild Boom's mod for Nexus! I rebuilt it from the ground up, I did not use any of Boom's mod; not even as a template.
