Patch is available with Brutish Argonian Males head meshes.

(That mod is no longer be available on Nexus, but the patch is just a collection of facegen meshes and does not actually require it. 'Brutish' mod author VectorPlexus seemed very pleased that I made this patch available, before he left to start his own mod website, so I'm leaving it up until I have a good reason to remove it.)

I was screwing around in Outfit Studio and decided to upload two more totally optional, totally standalone patches.

Both simple mesh replacers, no plugins. One sets Argonians' tails a little higher so it looks like it's at the base of their spine rather than hangin out their b-hole, and the other just gets rid of the tails entirely, replaces them with empty .nif files. I saw another mod that did this at some point and it said it made the tails "invisible" and I don't know what that means. I find it suspect. This one you know what it does, it's a mesh file with no mesh in it. (It's not lore-friendly, and let's please leave it at that.)

You've been added to my guide: Katie's Beast Race Aesthetics Compendium SSE?! Yay!

    Okay so, two things:
First, I've ported this mod myself and have been using it for well over a year with zero issues. If you want, I could send you the file and you could upload it.
Second, I've mad a bit of a patch for Hott Interesting NPCs and Hott Argonians that gives the Argonians in Interesting NPCs the Hott feather hair. A consistency patch, if you will. It also has a little facelift for Anum-La so she doesn't have the default Argonian face anymore and I gave her some swampy facepaint, because why not? (She's thinner and her face is a bit more masculine, since I have a Type okay.) I'd love to upload my mod, but since I only play Special Edition now and I can't be assed to backport it (which isn't supposed to work anyway), I'd feel bad uploading a mod that depends on a mod that's only for Legendary Edition at the moment. So basically: if you don't want to upload my port, could I have permission to integrate the hairs into the mod so it's standalone (well, aside from the dependancy on Interesting NPCs)? That is all.

As far as I'm concerned, if you have put that much work into a conversion and patch, I'm fine with you uploading the whole thing yourself, as long as you credit KrittaKitty for the assets. A link back to this page would be cool.

As I've said before, KrittaKitty hasn't been heard from in years and unless she comes back and tells you to stop, I'm personally fine with people doing whatever the heck they want with this mod. She did most of the work, and I consider myself more a custodian of this mod page than the owner of it.

Is there a Skyrim SE version of this mod?

Not that I'm aware of. I think some people have tried and they had issues with the meshes causing crashes.

Would you be willing to allow someone to port this mod over to Xbox Skyrim SE on Bethesda.net? A few people have sent KrittaKitty some PMs a while ago asking for permission to port over a few of her mods to Xbox, and if we were to get permission we were curious if you’d be willing to let us port this mod over for Xbox users too, of course with the full credits.

As far as I’m concerned people can do whatever they want with this. KrittaKitty deleted the original mod and then kind of disappeared. I can’t really speak for her, but I feel like it’s ok to share this as long as she doesn’t come back and demand that you stop.

Hey there, I love this mod and wanted to know if its compatible with something like "Horns are fovever"? Or would I have to manually enable the horns from this mod to work through hoods via the Creation Kit.

I'm not sure what item slots they were set up with, but you could check in the creation kit.

Hi, it's me again. I've had this idea for a custom Argonian follower for a while now who I want to look feminine but also flashy (kind of directly in contradiction with your idea for this mod, haha). Specifically I also want her to look like the Argonians from ESO, and the vanilla feather hair just doesn't cut it. I looked at KrittaKitty's profile and it seems like she's still fairly active, but I have no idea how I would approach her to ask for permission to use her feather hair assets. Would you mind asking for me, or explaining to me how the general procedure for asking permission goes? I've never used someone else's assets before; I'm only just practicing making some custom vanilla-esque followers. Thanks in advance!

KrittaKitty hasn't been active in ages from what I can tell, but you can always try sending a PM. That's all I did, I don't have any secret back-channels.

As far as I'm concerned it's fine for people to do what they want with these assets, as long as they're not selling them. If KrittaKitty ever returns and raises any objections, you'll have to work that out, but she was always pretty chill about it.

I hope they do feathered tails to go with the feathered heads or some added decorative plumage. Then argonians could be related to aerosaurs not just lizardmen.

That would be cool, but lore-wise(it's not entirely set in stone though.) argonians may just be a race of humans, or unknown humanoids that became argonians after licking hist sap.

Thinking Aerosaur and or bird race? They do have feathered wing mod. Maybe a cross between feather and scale meshes. I wonder if argonians could have other reptilian traits like cobra hoods or lizard neck frills. Doodle: https://www.deviantart.com/khaozhydra/art/Lizardman-Warrior-817526412

Cats could have feathers if they were somehow related to those winged lions or tigers of mythology. Forgot what those were called... As for lore friendly fur-styles maybe along the lines of fluffy manes for males and fur tipped tails for males and females.Or just fluffy like a cat that gets his/her omega-3 fish oils. Wish I could pick more fur patterns then just vanilla. Mau! =3 Doodle: https://www.deviantart.com/khaozhydra/art/Cat-folk-ranger-613006149

...I think brutish patch doesn't work? Unless I don't realise what it patches. Feathers and horns are floating over the heads with or without the patch :C

The patch is just new facegen meshes for NPC's that were generated using the altered head mesh. They look fine in my game. I posted a few screenshots. Whose head are you looking at, specifically?

Love this mod! I always use one of these hairs in my character, since I almost always play as an Argonian and the vanilla hair options aren't too great. Do you think you might ever add a version that modifies the Argonians added by Interesting NPCs like with your Hott Vampires mod? I for one would love that. Either way, great job, I love your mods!
