HI guys^^ i have a good message im out of reha and at home so that means im working on my mod again
On the other hand i have a bad news i lost all my data for 3Dsmasx that means i have no tails there anymore So i decided to change my hdt from htd-pe to hdt-smp there a 2 reasons for it: First i dont need to make all the steps in 3Dsmax anymore, havok is a pain in the ass, i only need to make bones there and thats it the rest is made with a xml editior.
Second it runs much smother then HDT-PE i have my first tail running with it and i dont have the jumping around, stretch and other problems anymore.
The bad part is it doesnt run with HDT-PE together or better to say it runs but u can only use one for the body not both together. Atm its still a W.I.P because i need learn how to make the xml files and how all of it works together so it takes a while until there is a new release.
hope that answers some question what going on here.
Is there any chance (maybe for the future mod) to select the items a user wants to install? I would only be interested in wolf, maybe fox tails and the rest really clutters my crafting menu. And obviously I have no exp in modding myself ...
@eq2imora Hopefully i can get out most annoying stuff but there can always be a thing that people dont like.

So, like I posted on the thread, Red42517 wanted a more 'cherry red' tail, and since I'd done a couple recolors for myself, decided to toss in a redder recolor of the fox texture that works with HDT Tails. And since I'd made white and softer blond recolors for myself, I tossed them into the mix too - and posted it as a mod. Kind of case of 'one thing leads into another'.
It's just a simple recolor of fox textures, and I'm not exactly sure if there's point to keep it as separate mod. I can leave it up in case people want different color options, or if you want to throw them in as optional files in your own mod - or make additional tails for them, whatever you prefer - feel free to grab the files from the mod and integrate them however you like.
Thanks a lot for the recolor i dont have time atm for it busy converting my Tails to SMP. That said made a little preview video of my Tails with SMP u can find it in under the Videos
Nyan Nyan tails? That's great. :) I was half expecting the dance to be "Neko Nyan Dance" XD Tail physics look better than what I saw in 1.5 version, but then 1.5 was broken at least for me. You mentioned problems running together with HDT-PE, so I suppose will have to see how it all turns out (I'm using CBBE with bodyslide2 and HDT body). Looking forward to it too.
@akalor Atm i have no ETA because im only half done with the Tails everytime i think i have it i find a new bug XD
@TerraKitsune About the problems with HDT-PE and SMP yeah they dont like each other but thats no Problem, i have many Body Files and the good part is u dont need to give NPC Collision data or Physics because SMP can detect the Mesh automaticly and add Physics to it So when HDT-SMP takes over u need to delete HTP-PE otherwise there is conflict u get CTD but HDT Highheel works with it have both running here.
So if your not going to mod the HDT tails to work for males could you release the source files to someone who could try? Not trying to be mean, just... it's been a very long wait time. :/
I'm going to steal another slot from the sticky. Since there's lots of people who have 'floaty' issues with 1.5.1 version tails (especially apparent while sneaking), I made patch for it, and posted it on my 'recolor' mod. Recolor is for fox tails only, but the fix should cover ALL of the 1.5.1 tails. And yes, they should work for male characters too, tested with male nord, and seemed fine.

I love it,great mod,easy to install and works perfectly. I got it solely for Alduin tail,it goes awesome with Alduin horns and wings . i only wish tails are less jumpy when i move,they just spaz out when i start moving. its normal and i see its ment to work like that,i'm just saying i would like it more if they are somehow weight-ed towards the grounds if that makes sense. but still,awesome work on the mod and hope to see more work from you.
So after waiting around a moth to get a reply from Hydrogensays, i did upload a Beta file i hope i dont get hit with something. Its the first version with the SMP tails all thats needed is in the Mod u guys need to delete HTP-PE for it to work. Have fun^^

Are these supposed to be fixed into the middle of the character, without actually following the character? When I jump, the tail doesn't follow the body, it stays in the same position.

A couple of things. To start off with, the tails and ears in the mod (or at least the tails and ears I have created with the mod) all work reasonably well. The changes I would like to see are the following: 1 - I have the Arctic fox tail and the white ears on my PC and she looks good but I really wish there was some way she could "flirt" her tail, ie flip it up or wriggle her ears. The tail and the ears move fairly realistically otherwise, although the ears seem to be a shade too floppy. Fox ears tend to be stiffer than what I'm seeing with the ears she has equipped. They sometimes are floppy. 2 - how difficult would it be to have the tail and her ears as part of her actual body as opposed to being "wearable", just an add-on? Would this require the creation of a custom race?
I'm not a modder, so I don't think I could make the changes I'm looking for. If someone knows of a resource - YouTube video, written directions, where I could learn how, or if someone with the necessary skills would like to take this on as a project please let me know.
I've noticed some of the tails don't work properly. For example, the Albino MaTera one is stuck in a weird, stiff, crooked position, while the Black W MaTera tail is just stiff.

I just ported it instead. But still cant get HDT to work with it. Even though I have the new HDT Physics mod for special edition. I only needed some static ears though for my character. So my port worked out fine.
