Upgrades Hjerim TNF to sleep 6 children

Permissions and credits
Donations
Upgrades Hjerim TNF to include 6 child beds. Requires Hearthfires.

To get the most out of it you will need TMPhoenix's Mulitple Adoptions Mod. Without it its still useable but will only sleep 2 children. Requires Hearthfires.

Upgrade is designed to be as compatible with Hjerim TNF as possible. Forge has been moved to separate basement area.

Upgrades are purchased from Jorleif/ in the Palace of the Kings just like vanilla game.

Reasons for this mod

I wanted somewhere to sleep all six kids and Hjerim TNF is possibly the best WHHJ mod out there and the author has kindly licensed it for anyone to freely modify. Many thanks to goatk.

Installation instructions

Remove ALL valuable items from Hjerim. This mod makes very extensive changes to the house and you wouldn't want to lose anything valuable. Open the console and type "TGM" if you can't carry it all.

Make a SAVE at this point and keep it safe somewhere. I call this the "before I screwed up" save.

If you havn't purchased any upgrades to the house at all then just install the mod and go purchase these upgrades.

Special instructions if you have already purchased upgrades for Hjerim:

1) Move your kids and spouse out of Hjerim into another house and check they've moved over there. They must not be resident when you install the mod or problems may ensue. Make sure you're not inside Hjerim and

2) Save and quit

Uninstall original version of Hjerim TNF or any other mod that remodels the interior of Hjerim at this point if you have it installed - you can't run both mods at the same time!

3) Install this mod.

4) Head for an internal cell, not Hjerim, such as the Candlehearth Hall up the road and when inside open the PC console and type the following commands:

PCB
resetinterior windhelmhjerim

5) Save the game immediately and

6) Quit.

7) Head over to Hjerim, everything should be new and in place. Anything out of of place and NOT mentioned in the "F.A.Q's / Known Problems" section below reload the save you previously made at 5) and type the previous console commands and save and exit again. then purchase upgrades again. Do NOT use "markfordelete" on ANY object, this command will delete them for good and if you uninstall this mod you'll have missing stuff etc.

8) You're good to go.

Uninstall instructions

Make a SAVE at this point and keep it safe. I call this the "before I screwed up" save.

1) Remove ALL items you want to keep from the room and its chests. Use console command "TGM" if you can't carry it all.

1) Move your kids and spouse out of Hjerim into another house and check they've moved over there. They must not be resident when you remove the mod or problems may ensue. Make sure you're not inside Hjerim and

3) Save the game and

4) Quit.

5) Disable/remove mod from your mod list

6) Head for an internal cell (not Hjerim), such as Candlehearth Hall up the road and when inside open the PC console and type the following commands:

PCB
resetinterior windhelmhjerim

7) Save the game immediately and

8) Quit.

9 ) Restart game, head over to Hjerim, everything should be back in place. Any oddities reload the save you previously made at 7) and type the previous console commands again and save and exit again. Do NOT use "markfordelete" on ANY object, they are default Hjerim objects and this command will delete them for good and if you uninstall this mod you'll have missing objects etc.

F.A.Q's / Known problems

Q: Do I need the original HjerimTNF mod/other Hjerim house overall mod installed at the same time as this one?

A: No, you only need this one! Remove any other versions of HjerimTNF before installing this (remove your stuff from the house first)

Q: Help! I have candles or other stuff floating in mid air!!!

A: It's a conflict with another mod, place this mod near the bottom of your load order (bottom of the mod list).

Q: Help! I followed your instructions but somethings gone wrong and everythings messed up! I What should I do?

A: Ok, you're sure you havn't any of the problems mentioned above? Ok, don't panic, reload the "before I screwed up" save you made earlier and try again. Don't skip any steps.

Q: I have vanishing floors/walls/parts of the house when I move around it! They reappear when I head for that part of the house! Whats going on?!

A: Another mod is adding occlusion planes to Hjerim. The usual culprit is Skyrim Project Optimization. Use the "No Player Homes" version instead.

Q: Help! My kids won't go to bed! They just stand around in the room all night long!

A: Use the "wait" key to advance time 1 hour. If that fails move the kids out to another player house and then move them back in. Also make sure you have no killable kiddie mods active. Still not working? You almost certainly have a mod conflict. Try to disable one by one any other mods that affect children, spouses (NOT multiple adoptions mod), houses, etc. Theres no magic wand to wave here you're just going to have to track it down, 100+ endorsements at the time of writing from people with not troubles means the problem is almost certainly at your end, sorry.

Q: Do I need to use the "Bless Home" spell to move all 6 kids into the house?

A: No, this is a vanilla home so it shouldn't be needed unless you're having problems purchasing the child bedroom. Just move the kids in and they should all find their beds when they need to sleep.

Q: The trapdoor/other thing to Dovahkin Hideout/other mod is covered by the staircase!

A: There are millions of mods and not all are compatible with the remodelled layout of Hjerim. In most cases you should be able to move the trapdoor/other item somewhere more convenent with Jaxonz Positioner

Q: Wheres the Forge gone?

A: Its been relocated to the basement, see the trap door just outside the children's bedroom.

Notes
Changes to original Hjerim TNF mod
Massively expanded child bedroom now has sleeping arrangements for six
Relocated Housecarl's room to (former) hidden room
Moved forge to new basement area
Added two extra dining chairs to accomodate 6 children
Overhauled the lighting to try and avoid conflicts (flickering walls/floors/objects)
