honestly one of the best dungeon mods i've come across.
it makes the vanilla dungeons look like amateur hour.
i'm not really having the "not enough rewards" issue some people are claiming to have (probably cause i use Xtendedloot and World's Dawn, so i'm getting more than i can carry.)
I like those. In many other (mod) dungeons are only few foes. (example in moria after 1 hour i have found 6 ), here in the forgotten dungeons, mostly its crawling with lot of foes, which makes it more interesting, well i haver not tried all dungens yet, but here is up to 50 rather ok dungeons.
Not bad if all you want to do is a dungeon crawl. Activate a Mark and Recall Amulet before you go in, that way you can bail any time you want. So far everything has been pretty easy to navigate through.
You can clear them all, correct? I'm having a helluva time getting through Forgotten Sanctum. Can't seem to figure out how to get to the middle section.
I was walking past some "forgotten" location, and I think - let me come in quickly. And there are two wings of huge caves, I lost count on the second hundred killed draurgs, a HUGE number of EMPTY urns ... But after 2 hours I finally killed the last pack of the most powerful draurgs in the central hall and opened the last chest ... and it contains 250 GOLD. The creator of the mod is well done, he knows how to draw maps perfectly and fill them with enemies too. But there is ABSOLUTELY NO sense from the mod itself for the player, because the reward for the 2-hour dungeon is ABSENT (a hundred collected fly agaric along the way is NOT a reward)
Forgotten Dungeons mod is obviously amateur. There is visible effort invested in development. Unfortunately there is also lack of experience or skill. I only recommend it to players who are tolerant of flaws and are desperate for content.
You give a rather unfavorable opinion without supporting it with any argument. In what sense is there a lack of experience or skill in this work? In my opinion, this is one of the best dungeon mods, done with a lot of creativity and care. What did you not like?
All mods on nexus are "amateur", because we're not paying for them. In the end I gave this one up, after the gigantic outdoor dungeon where you can't find the key to 19 of the buildings. Author showed lots of promise. Often those little implementation decisions cause your work to sink, or fly. OOh.. now I can get my money back! ROFL
Moral of story is everything's subjective to personal taste and you'll just have to try it out for yourself. And agreed, if nothing can be backed up with objective evidence then nothing he says is worth believing.
Yeah. No kidding. There are a ton of missing elements in this mod. I started with Three Guard Barrow, as did several other players. And I had the exact same problem: absolutely NO CLUE WHATSOEVER to a great many of the puzzles. Some, of course, you had to backtrack to find the lever. Fine. At least there WAS a lever. But in many, there was nothing. And I mean absolutely nothing -- no clue, no hint, no nothing. Several times I had to TCL through the gate and then open it using the chain on the other side so Arissa could come through.
Talk about stupid and frustrating. Gods!!! what a joke. The only "puzzle" that is soluble is one of the first, where the three clues to the rotating pillars are spread out along two long corridors. That was a bit of a puzzler, but at least it could be solved, if you just worked at it long enough. But when I got to the subsequent locked gates, there was NOTHING; again, no lever, no clue, nothing. AND when I got to that room with the two enclosed bridges and looked for the levers to open the far door, again there was nothing. And I do mean nothing. No way to open those doors. I know because I went online and looked up that diagram which is supposed to indicate the precise placement of the levers. Well, that diagram is dead wrong. Where it indicates, there is nothing whatsoever. So, I went over every square millimeter of that entire wall. Took me half an hour to cover it all, and there is NOTHING THERE. No lever, no clue, no hint, nothing.
This is precisely the type of dungeon that I thoroughly despise: full of doors, gates, etc. but with no way to open them. This first dungeon turned out to be an utter waste of my gaming time. I must have spent a good two hours slogging away in that god-awful thing, all to end up having to abandon the damned thing because there's no way to get through to the other end. Yet another knife in the back. Thanks for nothing, for wasting my precious game time on useless nonsense.
This is precisely what I thought going through the first of these dungeons. I was itching to reach the end so I could be spared from the amateur level design. Something about the way these are made is just extremely exhausting and diverges way too far from Bethesda's dungeon designs, resulting in something that not only feels unnatural, but painstakingly wasteful of my time.

1 post? I'm so SURE you weren't trolling or trying to attack someone's reputation. In any case. Nothing to see here.
