This version gives a major upgrade to the horse/dragon riding and werewolf/vampire lord camera system to make it work almost exactly like vanilla. I've also fixed a few other bugs that have been reported.
This is probably the last update before Skyrim SE. I'm going o be switching development back to fixing bugs with Joy of Perspective. JoP doesn't require any script extender so hopefully it will be possible to port to Skyrim SE sooner than Enhanced Camera.
- Camera now zooms in/out when switching pov for horse/dragon riding and werewolf/vampire lord - The camera state for horse/werewolf/etc is now detected from the saved game - Fixed werewolf camera getting stuck when bEnableHeadBobPosition settings are enabled - Fixed other bugs related to horse/werewolf/etc - Updated werewolf/vampire lord killmove settings to set a random chance of performing the killmove in 1st person (default 33.0) - Added setting to detect transforming into a werewolf/vampire lord - Fixed hands not visible during unequip animations when using hand-to-hand or magic - Added separate ini settings for horse and dragon riding - Added settings to disable your body when sitting, jumping, swimming, and during killmoves - Added setting to match Z (left/right) rotation when switching pov to 1st person - Added setting to set FOV during combat - Other minor bug fixes
What is the difference from other 1st person body mods?
Unlike other first person body mods, this mod is designed to replicate the look and feel of vanilla first person. It enables a hybrid mode where it uses the 1st person arms with the 3rd person body and there is no head bob. This mod is also much easier to install and requires minimal configuration (but has an ini file if required). For a more visual comparison, see Brodual's video in the videos tab.
What causes the bug with the camera moving about wildly?
This bug is caused by installing the Joy of Perspective skeleton from XPMS without using JoP (and it occurs without requiring Enhanced Camera to be installed). It can be fixed by either reinstalling XPMS without the JoP skeleton. Or by installing JoP and disabling EC's visible body (bEnableFirstPersonBody=0) in the SKSE_EnhancedCamera.ini.
Does the mod use scripts/have any issues when uninstalling?
No, this mod is a skse plugin dll. It does not have an esp file and doesn't use any scripts. So there are no issues with uninstalling the mod and causing bugs with the saved game.
What are some recommended SKSE_EnhancedCamera.ini setting tweaks?
Most of the ini is already set to recommended values but there are some settings you can change depending on your preferences. bEnableHeadBob - Can be enabled if you prefer a head bob. fFirstPersonFOV - Can be set if you prefer a higher fov. fNearDistanceXXX - Should set lower when using higher fov to prevent camera clipping. bFirstPersonXXX - Enables/disables 1st person during forced 3rd person events. Can be disabled if you don't like the head bob. bEnableHeadFirstPerson - If enabled this may allow you to see your hair in 1st person.
hi whenever i get power attacked or hit with a shout my character in first person goes straight up in the air as if jumping and locks my animations till i actually jump is there a fix for this?
Hello! I am loving this mod, it works much better than other mods like IFPV, but still allows first person horse riding unlike joy of perspective. However, there is an issue when using TK Dodge. My arms will stay out in front of me while dodging and it looks very strange. TK Dodge normally lowers your hands slightly when dodging to avoid this, this mod seems to overwrite that. Is there something I'm missing that could fix this? Thank you.
The camera is higher than where it should be. I'm pretty sure the character floats slightly in first person based on the shadows. This is obvious when changing POVs if you happen to be shorter than another character. Their head will snap from looking down/level with you to looking up when in first person, at around your forehead. This doesn't happen in vanilla. Anyone know how to fix this? I tried changing bAdjustPlayerScale but I don't think it did anything.
I wish for SE port of this mod. I don't understand why this mod recommend joy of perspective. Why even need for it to be compatible at all? This mod is superior imo. Been using it for a very looong time on Oldrim & missing this very much.
Climbing horses is a little bit awkward, especially if you're, like me, enlarging every horse through console because vanilla horses are just too tiny of a pony. It gets a bit uncomfortably in ya face, but riding works perfectly fine. Everything else too!
