Love your player home mods Skyrimlazz, but I am having an issue with your castles. Models that I believe to be "blood jugs" or some other similar item are not loading and instead a big red warning sign appears where those items should be, these are usually in the crypt of vampire rooms. I have Dawnguard and all the expansions, so not sure why this is happening.
This was this author's only castle mod that it didn't work here, whenever I try to enter the castle of error and close my skyrim, the other mods of this author all worked perfect.
I was looking for a darker themed castle for my vampire/necromancer, and happened upon this gem of a mod. Everything in it is damn near perfect, there's no insane frame rate drop like a lot of other large player homes, and the sheer amount of detail put into it to make it feel lived in is stunning. The crypt has got to be my favorite part of the castle, especially the vampire room, which is perfect for this character's ever-growing coven of bloodsuckers. Using RDO and AFT, I was able to re-outfit the guards and all the other NPCs exactly the way I wanted, and stock the jail with a nice variety of prisoners to snack on.
This mod easily gets a 10/10 from me, and it'll always be part of my load order when I'm playing a darker character. I know some people have issues with the lack of KS hair support and extensive tweaks like Skystone, but personally, I would much rather do all that myself (Edit the NPCs hairstyles, body/face etc.) and only have what I want in the mod, as opposed to all sorts of unnecessary features and a potential performance hit. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and this mod is perfect just the way it is.
It may be useless to post this as I'm sure the author has moved on to SE by now, but I absolutely love the castles this person makes. My favorites are Skystone, Moonstone, the Ayleids, and this one.
The dark vibe is great. Love the little shrine outside, love the pool in the bedroom, the pool in the living quarters is amazingly well done, and I also love the library area setup. (the crafting tables below, the bookshelves up, and to the side the forge area which looks great). And I didn't even mention the crypt yet, which is the best dark area setup of any of the castles. Way to hide the scary stuff.
The only thing that is very obvious about this one is that it feels it never got finished. It doesn't have teleport, no KS hair support, and it feels like the main hall is an open space with a bit of a lack of detail. The guards outside need to be given a key to the frontgate, because otherwise they'll just be spewing angry verbal conversation to the occasional wolf or bear outside the castle. Also, the dragon elder scroll holder in the display hall is broken. And hen you sit on the throne in the main hall it locks the camera in a position that you are looking at your own character, therefore you cannot look at whatever is going on down below.
Skyrimlazz, if you're bored one day, and its raining outside, and you feel like adding this things that would be so absolutely amazing. I'd doubt I'd use any other home mod ever again.
Same as you. Skystone, Winterstone, and the Ayleid's are my favorites.
The only thing with a number of these castles is that they don't have a private bathing area, and if they do, the rest is not that alluring. For example, the Skystone Castle could use a private bathroom in the main bedrooms. Maybe even make the cell independent so that NPCs don't go wandering while you're chatting with your family or whatever it is you're doing.
The Winterstone Castle has a private bath, a nice throne room, but my personal observation is that it was made for vampire lords. I'm no vampire. It's a great castle for any vampire lord or any vampire ally. The crypts (accessible via a trapdoor under the stairs leading to the throne) has all the spooky stuff to set the ominous atmosphere. It also has a private room with a bathing area. Good stuff.
I'd urge the modder if he's still working on these beautiful assets to make private bathrooms for each main bedrooms, and make some private bathing areas made for the owner inaccessible for NPCs in every Castle. I think there are 2 or three private bathing areas in all of his Castles.
Nevertheless, great projects with great potential. Props.

This is the best castle, especially for my modern lore-friendly vampire and his clan. I had to vamp it up even more with Jaxonz Positioner and Renamer. A gargoyle here and there, bloody dishware, coffins in the follower's quarters, etc. My other favorite castle was Moonstone by the same author, best Caribbean blue water pools and vamp cellar ever. The only problem was it had heavy CTD. This castle does not have this issue. I did remove about half the mannequins, and will probably end up deleting all of them. Some move off the pedestals, or move in general which creeps me out, not to mention, they are memory heavy additions that really aren't necessary. I am not sure why modders include them, but a quick disable on them and their triggers using the console will do the trick. I like the cellar, and the battle to get it. For those who want a more creepier vamp quarters, it fits the bill. Highly recommend and endorse.
However, I did find one odd/huge issue. In the main pool in the living quarters. If you enter the pool on the left side, it results in a fire bomb going off, literally, and burning and sending my character flying across the room, ending his life. WTF? Was this pool filled with holy water? I assume this is not intentional. I thought maybe the author accidentally put a ward or something in the pool? I could not find any trigger, so I just avoid swimming on the far left side. That, that...was a first. Other than THAT issue, this darker style castle is perfection.

The firebomb issue kind of made me laugh, never experienced that to be honest.
