I can't get mine to work, and I found all that an hour before coming here. Maybe it's just difficult for people who aren't accustomed to the nuances of computer code? I mean it seemed as simple as just copy paste but somehow it's not. Maybe a little help as to what to do?
I see people with no mod knowledge (like me) trying to figure out how to make this work. Simply sending it out to read is a way of just not taking the time to explain something that not everyone understands.
There are times when slowing down and taking the time to learn how to properly mod helps. A lot of time there aren't any immediate responses on forums and you end up losing the time anyways, might as well learn about it.
That is just what happens - its happened to me enough times to know, of course reading the comments is important, to a point, maybe 4 pages in but if you're having a recent issue, only 2-3 pages in should be enough to possibly find a clue what to do next. I usually drop hints, tips, simple stuff but it saves time depending what you use to mod.
The first tip says it needs SKSE (and any derivative version for what ever Bethesda game you play). Watch a video and learn how to properly install ALL script extenders for ANY Bethesda game you own, under different names like F4SE, FOSE, FNVSE (lots of different names), OBSE. That is for Fallout 4, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Oblivion and so on.
The libraries can be installed in a few mod managers but sometimes manually.
Hey how about you all just shut up and agree if a mod is posted somewhere it should be posted with instructions not a link to them honestly this is childish at best trolling at worst seriously is it too much to ask that a mod author writes a clear description that covers what a common Modder would need to know to use there mod where they post it let me answer that for you NO no it is not and that would have stopped all this senseless infighting over someone ASKING FOR HELP!!!
Lets be real, some simple instructions should be included in the description. No reason to include all that other info and then skip out on that. Also it's enough of an ask to get people to simply read descriptions let alone start making them jump to other websites. Although I get it, it really isn't that hard to do.
The Mod Authors don't owe you anything not even the mods they make honestly, most mod authors work on these for weeks months and in some cases years and some don't even get paid or donated to, realistically they don't have to share the mods they make let alone describe very basic information required to install mods to a bunch of lazy assholes online who are gnawing at the hands that feeds them. watch an instructional video, read the description and or wiki page, try your best and learn from mistakes, but don't talk s#*! to or demand s#*! from the authors obviously
On sse, I have issues with this mod firing it's notifications then HUD going away after a while. First notifications size changes, then after 10-15mins hud goes away completely until game is restarted.
This whole issue started when I stopped using iHUD. It wasn't even in a middle of a playthrough. Even after a new game this happens.
I've tried everything and going insane now... Tried with/without Dear Diary and bunch of other mods that modify hud. I have tried it with+w/o Skyhud, true directional movement, true hud, sunhelm (has exported interface), and anything else I could think of. I even tried deleting interface.bsa in skyrim data folder.
Still no clue why, very frustrating. Do I go check every damn bsa to find anything modifying the interface? I think I did that already...
Any ideas to fix this will be greatly appreciated...
This is a standalone extension of SKYUI, if you go to its "Official Webpage" shock horror it also the "Official Webpage" of SkyUI, it works with or without SkyUI, it's just requires SKSE.
It enhances certain menus and also allows certain SkyUI menus to be uses while NOT IN MENU MODE
They do not conflict in any Shape Way or Form, however I stopped using this in favor of UIExtensions, but UIExtensions is way harder (coding) to use, this is a great entry level platform to enhancing your mod while learn how to code
No Offence intended to any one, but this a modder resource that is allowed to be packaged within the mod, downloading this means you intend to use it as a Mod Author... if you require instruction on how to install it? How do you intend to use it?
There may be a rare case of some authors who did not included this packaged with their mod and sent you to download it, please download as instructed, or their mod will not work correctly.
If you install this presay ... for no reason whatsoever, It does absolutely nothing, unless you you write some Papyrus Code that implements it.
Hey yall to install this just drag the archive to ur downloads tab on mo2 and install just as if you downloaded with mod manager should work for vortex too. Also u can unzip the download and copy the Interface and Scripts folders manually into your data archive.
I have played skyrim LE and SE long time, but did not know how this mod work at all..just installed for some mod (which require.. or use this mod function)
Then today I hope to add one list menu for my test mod, and remember,, usually this mod seems used to show list.. serch and read wiki again.. after follow your sample, (without enough knowledge.. ) I anyway attach the UIlib_1 script for same dialogue topic which I added my main mod script.. t add function to call list menu in my main script with set option (list) arg.. then load data...... it worked like a charm. I should say thanks you long time ago...
I am confused as well... AH More Hotkeys says it includes this mod in it's all-in-one installer... I tried to install the base version though since the all in one includes an older version of Jcontainers... but this mod? I have no idea, Mod Organizer 2 doesn't give me the option to download and install it... I have to save in manually... and then what?
Okay, so just to clarify, if I already have Nethers Follower Framework, and I've downloaded a different mod (the engine fixes one) which has this listed as a hard requirement, I don't need to download this because Nether already included it for me? Any clarification would be appreciated!
@teresatiger I believe that is the case yes. Only case where the one bundled in NFF isn't good enough would be if it either was a modified version of this mod, or was an older version of the one packaged here (which it wouldn't be since this mod hasnt' been updated since 2014). Im about to do some tinkery testing of my own though
Installation Conflict - SkyUILib: Nether's Follower Framework includes a freely distributable resource, SkyUILib for some functionality.
If you are installing a mod and there are conflicts with: UILIB_1_notificationarea.swf, UILIB_1_ListMenu.swf, UILIB_1_TextInputMenu.swf, buttonArt.swf, UILIB_1.psc and/or UILIB_1.pex -- It should not matter which mod you allow to "win". Per SkyUILib's page: "This resource is designed to be included in mods as is", which means that all mods should be using the same, unmodified versions. -- It should not matter which mod you allow to "win". And +1 to lightraybenzi
was that so hard ? no wonder people break their mod installs all the time if they cant even read

Does that explain the manual install?
Thx for the help :)
