This space is being reserved for announcements, update info and any other rambling statements i can think of!!!

    IMPORTANT NOTICE...

Hey, everyone. It's sad to say that i may not be updating anything for a while. I'll try my best to get done what i already set out to do but i honestly can't promise anything anymore.

I still have a destroyed back and can't walk right anymore but the more important disaster is the lost of two hard drives that contained all of my games. Skyrim included... So i no longer have the space to install it and since i currently can't afford to buy a new hard drive i can't re-install the game and mod effectively. As soon as i can i might get back into it all and add some new arrows but after all the time that has passed and all the arrow mods that i'm sure have come out that would be a herculean effort to say the least. Especially having to cater to all the different quivers and body types now.

That's one of the things that contributes to the clutter of the downloads page. Dealing with so many versions of things. So do me a favor and stop complaining about it. There has been an NMM installer for ages now and the only three files you really need to worry about are the top three "main files". All the rest that are there are just what's in the installer, so ignore them.

    VERSION DIFFERENCES:
Version 2: Features closer quivers only!
Version 3: Features closer quivers and longer arrows. NOTE: THIS VERSION WILL NO LONGER BE UPDATED...
Version 4: Features closer quivers and longer arrows as well as much smaller, less obtrusive quivers.
Iron Quiver Replacer: Features the Iron Arrow Quiver for all arrows.
Longer Arrows: Features the slightly thicker quivers from v4 but they are at the default distance away from the back. That means they float...
Vanilla Quivers and Longer Arrows: Features longer arrows and the default vanilla-sized quivers (thin). They are also the default distance away from the back (floating). Thin and floating... just like vanilla.

    NEWS:
Longer arrows only versions are up!

It's been a long time coming but i was finally able to get not one but two "Longer Arrows" only versions available for download. Both are very similar but "Longer Arrows v4" has the same quivers as the standard v4 of CQ&LA. "Vanilla Quivers and Longer Arrows" is pretty much what it says it is. VQ&LA has vanilla/default-sized-quivers* and they are in the default (floating) position as the vanilla base game. This will be especially handy if you use a mod that alters quiver placement and that demands the slimmer quivers. Well, i hope you guys find a use for them. Enjoy!

*I didn't use the vanilla quivers for the Ebony and Stalhrim arrows because they are simply ridiculous f'n quivers. I also did a few minor alterations to all the iron-style quivers (daedric, bound, iron and forsworn). Nothing major but they are the width of the smaller v4 arrows. Other than that everything else is vanilla i think... can't remember.

    Okay, that's it for now.

    REQUESTS:
XP32 Maximum Skeleton Compatibility - In Progress.
Immersive Weapons - PACK 1 & 2 NOW AVAILABLE... STILL WAITING FOR UPLOAD PERMISSIONS FOR PACK 3!!!

    Hi,

V2 and V4 seem to be working ok for me in SSE 1.6.640.0, just wanted to report that, in case others are looking.

Since V4 is the latest, I'll stick with this.

It would really be nice to see a mod that adds straps to the quivers to make them look like they are attached to the character.

    Thanks for making this!

Have been using this mod for tens of hours now in absolute bliss - until today when I got some dragonbone arrows. V4 of the mod seems to make the arrows completely invisible, with or without the fishook arrowhead option.

The V2 of the mod makes the arrows visible, when it doesn't crash the game on load (or when firing an arrow, if it manages to not COL). Any help is appreciatd.

I've managed to fix the issues with V4, V2 however continues to crash to desktop no matter what.

If anyone wants to know how to make V4 work let me know, you'll need a bit of knowledge on Nifskope however.

Have been using the Longer Quivers and Arrows Only meshes in Special Edition for several years.  Didn't realize I never endorsed your mod.  so now it is.  Many Thanks.

This mod still works near-perfectly with SSE. Brilliant! I only have one issue right now and that is the rear-facing side (The side that faces the camera in 3rd person) is behaving as if it is in a permanent shadow for some reason. Anyone know what the cause of this could be? I highly doubt its an issue with the mod since I've not seen anyone else encounter this issue and I already had a fairly extensive load order before this.

You are probably using Longer Arrows v4. Replace it with Vanilla Quivers and Longer Arrows v4, to fix the issue.

I have the same issue. Do you mean download the version where the position of quivers is not changed? Because that kind of defeats the purpose of the mod if the quivers are still floating.

To my understanding "Vanilla Quivers and Longer Arrows" refers to the size of the quivers, not the position.
I 'm using  Belt-Fastened Quivers also, and this is the only solution i found. Seems to be a mesh - shader issue.

Any chance of returning to this, reworking it for the SSE and uploading it to the SSE nexus?

I am with Marksmanx4. I really loved this mod for LE but I miss it like crazy for my SSE playthrough. Please someone port this awesome mod to SSE.

I tried this on SSE without porting and it works :)

Mod works great in SSE. The closer-and-smaller quivers option (V2) is fantastic!!! So tired of seeing the quiver either float a foot away from their backs and/or clip into NPC butts, and this absolutely takes care of both problems.

Did you Port the mod yourself or just download and directly installed as is for SSE?

I installed it directly in SSE with the black/red iron quiver for everything as suggested in the post below. It seems to be working fine (certainly much better than having a quiver floating a foot off my back like in vanilla.

It would be great if someone could add this for SSE to make it more discoverable. I was very hesitant to try an Oldrim mod on SSE.

So you modified the quivers but not the weapons? What's the point of this mod then?
