Hi there! Awesome mod, it adds so much realism to the world of Skyrim. With it, you'll never see potions the same way in creepy dungeons. 😂 I'd like to port a french version of your mod over Xbox, would you agreed? Have a good day!
Not sure if you're even still modding or updating this mod at all. Just finished a fairly extensive editing job to Thematic Loot that more or less merged it with Skyrim Coin Replacer Redux (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48195/?) and dungeon treasure (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34148/?). So, now Thematic Loot will feature dwemer and ancient nordic coins in cells and a few world spaces, as well as loot lists.
I also did a couple other editions: - Added weight to all non-standard coinage (I use Immersive Jewelry, which adds weight to gold, so I did this for consistency). Also adjusted the values slighty. - Replaced normal gold with SCRR's Ulfrics for Stormcloak soldiers and to any hand-placed gold/coin purses in the city of Windhelm (have not yet touched named NPCs such as Ulfric himself). - Added Ancient Falmer Coins, using FelBeast1's wonderful Gondorian Silver (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/63826/?), to certain loot drops in place of gold or dwemer coins (I wish I could find a coin more stylistically similar to the Snow Elf objects added by Much Ado About Snow Elves or one custom built to be a Snow Elf coin, but sadly this does not exist and I've got zero modeling/texture skills, beyond knowing how to edit texture paths in nifscope). - Editing clutter, such as applying a dwemer, nordic, or silver prefix where appropriate. Increased the value of dwemer, nordic, silver (greatly), and glazed clutter. Added silver clutter to the loot list on bandit boss chests and nordic clutter to draugr loot drops. Did this to increase the variety of loot and also make those items worth hauling out.
I'm thinking about possibly also adding the dwemer and nordic coins used in Skyrim Coin Replacer Redux, featuring them as a more general 'low' currency for those cultures in contrast to the 'high' currency of the Thematic Loot coins. Partly this would be because there are coin pile models/textures for SCRR's coins that the InsanitysEnd coins lack, meaning that I cannot fully visually replace those coin piles. I might also add recipes to smelt down all the coins and clutter into ingots, as an alternative to just selling them, though I need to double check Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49791/?) to see what it already covers for that.
I can't actually upload this, as I haven't obtained permission from the other mod authors to use their resources. This started as a purely personal edit job to unclutter my load list and resolve some conflicts between Thematic Loot and dungeon treasure, but it turned out to take enough time and effort that I thought I would at least offer to send it to you. A lot of what I did in terms of world placement of loot was free-handing copying from SCRR and dungeon treasure, which resulted in some redundancy with your leveled lists (no conflicts, just cases such as my added things like Imperial Luck modifier lists without noticing until much later that you'd already made one).
If you wanted to pick through it, balance it out for how you envisioned Thematic Loot (my edit is a bit more generous with coin drops than TL), and I'd be more than willing to ask the other mod authors for permission to use their coin resources.
Great mod. Does it work with mods that place new items in chests (specifically weapons of the third era, which places dwemer eastern sword in dwemer ruins)?
I found this mod, not long ago and now try it out Love the ideas in place now, lost in time in chests of old , find the treasures of coins, old stuff that makes sense Thanks a lot ..kudo to you tiny lampe
Dungeon treasure: if I'm reading the description right, that mod only replaces the STATIC coins found in dragur and dwemer ruins. Since my mod only replaces items found inside containers, there should be no conflict. In fact, both mods complement each other nicely.
Skyrim coin replacer: at the very least, both my mod and that mod try to change the items you find on draug/falmer upon killing them. So there is an incompatibility here. I couldn't get if coin replacer also changes the coins that can be found inside chests; if so, the incompatibiity is much more serious.
I've had this mod on for... I don't know how long, but a while. And by gods I love it to death. And I feel bad for not endorsing it sooner, or commenting on it. But I found a thing in-game that I just needed to comment on. I had to. I had been running around with the ancient iron swords, getting a vague recognition feeling from them, but didn't think further on it... Then I stumbled upon an ancient steel bow. My immediate reaction went something like this: "OMG THAT THING IS FROM OBLIVION!!!" And then I realized that all the ancient steel longswords I had hanging in my home were relics of a bygone era... And then I found the ancient ebony sword. It's now my best friend and we've been on many adventures together.
Thank you for this mod, friend. Thank you kindly, not only for bringing in nostalgia from 200 years past, but also for making things a little more immersive... like not finding perfectly good potions in Dwemer ruins, for instance. Or two-handed weapons with the mages. Or Daedric weapons with the Giants. (srsly bethesda, what the hell)
So, I salute you and your mod. Endorsed to Oblivion and back.
PS: I love your Dwemer and Old Nordic coins A lovely nice touch!
Seems nice and could use a Requiem patch to unlevel the loot and remove high end daedric, etc. Also, I think magic schools could be thematic e.g. vamp = conj/ill; dwemer = alt/res, warlock = conj/destr, that sort of thing.

Either way excellent job and thank you for this!
