Don't you wish that you could resurrect your follower or your horse when they get killed? Or that you could resurrect vendors and other NPCs after a dragon attack?

If so, you're in luck! Because this mod adds a new spell to the game which can help you to resurrect any NPCs that you like! Friend or foe!

WARNING
This spell is pretty much the same as using the console command, and therefor it will reset the targets inventory and armor back to standard.
No matter if the target is alive or not. So be careful before you cast it at your follower or anyone else that might have items you've given them.

DISCLAIMER
This mod is created as a tool to help both new and experienced players to resurrect dead NPCs without having to break their ingame experience and use the console command. And that's why this mod is not particularly balanced or lore friendly.
That said, in the future I might do a special version for this mod that will be balanced and lore friendly. But that will be later when I get the time to do so.

The Spell tome book can be found in a tree stump somewhere just outside Riverwood.
If you want to add it through the console the name is: "Spell Tome: Resurrect Dead"

When you have learned the spell you can find it under Restoration.

Q&A:

Q: What does this mod do?
A: It adds a spell to the game which can permanently resurrect NPCs without zombifying them.

Q: What can I resurrect with this mod?
A: People, animals, draugrs and pretty much everything that was alive to begin with.

Q: Does this mod work on ash piles?
A: No, since the corpse is completely removed when they turn into ash.

Q: Will you make a balanced and lore friendly version of this mod?
A: Perhaps, but that will be when I get the time to do so.

Q: Why is this spell only left handed?
A: For safety reasons, and to prevent players to cast it too rapidly.

Q: What difference is there between this mod and the console command?
A: Not much except form that it is easier to use and it will not break your ingame experience.

Q: Will the stock from vendors change/reset if I were to resurrect them with this spell?
A: No, since vendors don't keep their stock in their inventory.

Q: What is the object ID for the Spell tome?
A: It will vary from computer to computer, but if you open the console and type: (help "Spell Tome: Resurrect Dead") without the () it will show you your ID for the spell tome.

Q: Can't you use the command "Resurrect 1" in this mod so the target will keep their items?
A: The Creation Kit does not support "Resurrect 1" for some reason. So unfortunately I can't do anything about it.

How to install:

I recommended that you use Nexus Mod Manager.

Manually:

1.Open your Skyrim folder, usually found in
# Steam>SteamApps>common>Skyrim

2.Open the Data folder

3.Open the downloaded file with "Winrar", "7zip" or whatever you prefer.
And find the "SpellTomeResurrectDead.esp" file and a folder called scripts.

4.Drag and dropp the "SpellTomeResurrectDead.esp" file and the folder "scripts" into your Data folder.
(note: If you already have a scripts folder a massage will ask you if you want to merge the new folder with the old folder, just click "Yes".)

5.Now it's installed, but you need to make sure that the mod will be loaded into your game.

6. Start your Skyrim launcher and click on "Data Files" then make sure that the little box to the left of "SpellTomeResurrectDead.esp" is ticked.
(Otherwise the mod won't load)

Uninsallation:

1. Open your Skyrim folder

2. Open the Data folder

3. Delete the "SpellTomeResurrectDead.esp" in your Data folder

4. Then you need to open the "scripts" folder and delete the file "ResurrectionMod.pex"

5. Done!
