Just finished downloading your mod and following your installation guide also mod in the details ridiculously good-looking compared to standard sky and this is my first time installing an EMP you made it really easy thanks for that I did have couple of questions if you don't mind first is there a way to make torches a little bit brighter so when I'm in interiors it's not so dark if not thanks anyways second round close to a light like letters that part of the mod or is its that setting I missed to do anyways also mod perfect installation guide thanks
torches are affected by pointedlighting found under the "environment" section of the ENB. you can try cranking the intensity of that up a bit in the enbseries folder weathers inis (you'll have to change it for each weather).
To do a test to see what is a good number/value, go in-game, and go to the [Environment] section of the ENB GUI. hit the "ignore weathers" option so that the torches are affected in all weathers when you test crank up some values for pointed lighting intensity and lower "curves" to brighten the light sources up. See what you like and remember those number values or take a screenshot. Then you can easily go into the weather inis and copy/paste those values in. There's no simpler way unfortunately when working with tons of custom ENB weathers.
Hello Dpthelothking, I'm the same as this fellow, I've just watched and followed your guide step by step, I don't use lighting mods, and while I did find it way too dark see 1 foot in front of my face in game , doing what your mentioned , ignoring weathers, made outdoors more see able with still a grim look, and I'm starting to really like it.. I thought your video tutorial was the best I've watched, and easy to follow, I left a comment just in case you dont get notices ppl posted !! Going to take your advice, and use that other NLA end that looks quite nice, erm uninstall instructions , for this ?
I need major help, when I put in my enb series file aswell as this ENB instructed like the video I get an error "the code execution cannot proceed because d3dx9_43.dll was not found" How do I fix this??
I followed the YouTube tutorial as instructed and I'm having trouble loading the ENB effects. The visuals load fine upon loading into the game but after reloading a save while in-game, the visuals default to what they were before I edited anything. The main issue is AmbientLightingIntensityInteriorDay/Night. I have those cranked up because the normal settings are way too dark. In the in-game ENB overlay (accessed by pressing Shift and Enter), my edited values are there but the settings won't be applied. Again, this happens after reloading a save while in-game. I've tried saving the settings in the overlay, loading the saved settings, and pressing apply. Also, editing the settings in the in-game overlay has no effect. The only way for the settings to take effect is if I edit the enbseries file and again, the visuals resort back to their default after reloading a save while in-game. Basically, the game is unplayable unless I turn off UseGlobalEffect because the game is far too dark.
Does this make sense? Does anyone have a fix for it?
can only guess that you either didn't save the settings after making changes properly (the order is, make changes --> save changes --> apply changes in the ENB menu), or you changed the settings around but not for all weathers. When an ENB has multiple weathers enabled, the environment section changes you mentioned have to made in EVERY single weather. This is tedious but the price you pay for working with ENB weathers. What you CAN do is go to the environment section of the default settings you changed and tick on the "ignore all weathers" option but then every weather will use those settings and may not look right. Alternatively you can turn off multiple weathers entirely as well, in the ENB options. Otherwise, you will need to make those changes manually in the weather inis located in the enbseries folder.
Yoo sloth, thanks for ur vids and this preset too. I used it in my Oldrim game and loved it Ive moved onto Skyrim SE, is this compatible with the 64bit enb binary (or w/e you call the Skyrim SE enb)??
