Having yet to even activate Dawnguard and play through the quest, because I hate the random vampire popups and s#*!, I activated it because I thought this spell would be worth it. ... I am disapointed honestly. I was expecting like a huge orbital laser strike or something, instead I got pew pew beams. I know, it's my own fault for expecting to much, but with a name like calling down the sun ... it just sounds more epic than it turned out to be. Don't get me wrong, it's great for what it is, but it's just not for me.

I'm still a novice. so I really don't have the experience for such a giant effect.

What's the name of the spell tome? Would be much quicker to get it through console command.

Just look up "Auriels Wrath". but you can get it by reaching the sacred basin during the Dawngaurd quest "Touching the Sky"

Sounds interesting, like a Paladin or Cleric sort of power, any chance you could post a video demonstration?

I don't have a way of doing so, but if your familiar with Auriels Bow and it's special ability when using a sunhallowed arrow shot at the sun. that should explain it.
