Many and various bugs related to level scaling. #112 - At least in more circumstances. Bear in mind that the imported character's level (i.e. what you see if you use the getlevel console command) will rarely if ever be their original level, but the levels of their various actor values will either be scaled appropriately based on class, or will match the original values. This is now checked much more frequently, so it should work more reliably. [/*]
Trophies sometimes not appearing after saving or moving a character in the Shrine. #104[/*]
Version 1.1.4 - Released Jan 1st, 2015 THIS VERSION IS REQUIRED IF YOU USE RACEMENU 3!
Bugs squashed:
Portal Stone STILL not appearing in player inventory sometimes. #107 [/*]
Imported characters sometimes do not respond at all when spoken to. #108[/*]
ScriptLatency test script is getting started and won't shut down, filling the screen with notifications. #109[/*]
Tweaks needed for new RaceMenu version checks. #110[/*]
Characters sometimes arrive with armor, but no weapons. #111 [/*]
FUTURE UPDATES aka WHERE IS VERT?
The rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated! (Yes, someone actually emailed me and asked if I was dead. Were they expecting a response if I was?) The short answer is no, I'm not dead, but I have been... away... for a while, for very good reasons that are unlikely to become clear to the general public at the moment. Suffice it to say that I have been unable to participate in my preferred hobby of modding Skyrim for some time now, has been almost absolute until a couple of weeks ago. Lest anyone think I've simply been ignoring questions, my absence from the Nexus in particular has caused me to miss out on at least 2 donations, so it's not been all roses over here, I assure you. So am I back? Let's say yes. The reasons for my absence are no less prevalent, but my ability to divide my time up is improving and so I have been doing some work on this (and other) Skyrim projects.
So I ask your indulgence in tolerating my peculiarities, and please accept my assurances that Familiar Faces is neither abandoned, nor stuck with bugs forever.
So... what does the future hold for Familiar Faces?

So you see, good things are coming. You can track progress through the Github links above, or through waffle.io. Thanks for sticking with me! -- Vert
i think this is not the actual version of the mod. there is a newer one but for SE on patreon. the patreon post is from march 2020. not sure if im allowed to share links here so i just let you know but you have to research it yourself on google. i'm playing the patreon SE version on AE 1.6.640 and it runs stable. just bugs around if i change my load order or whatever in midgame but that does almost every mod. ^^
Nope, he is right- that SE version you are writing about worked fine for me until I added a "fix" for the "blackface-issue" which I thought wrongly was the grey-face-issue, causing all of a sudden all my "Familiar faces" followers to load with black faces.. When I started a new game they were fine, but as soon as I loaded my new save the followers turned black in their faces - this is the latest build from Patreon, and it's on the latest version of Skyrim - Anniversary Edition - it worked fine prior to installing the "blackface"-fix and now no matter what I do the faces remain black when loading saves.
Does the SSE port even work? Looks like it's really outdated and many comments on the patreon post report lots of bugs. Fell in love with this mod when I used to play LE. Really hope to see it come back to SE/AE officially.
@swdemaiden it seems like this works with an older version of special edition and doesn't work with anniversary edition, which is a huge bummer, i do have old rim but i dont have all the dlc so seems if i wanna mess with this mod i gotta spend some dosh and thats IF it works still
Old mod but not obselete. Pretty much in contrary!
A bit maintanance would be appreciated.
In regard to #112 i would say its better to delete that option of levelscaling out of the menu. It just not works.
Some hairs from other mods are not taken over to the familiar face char. Be aware.
Also be cautius with modded spells . my char got an mod-spell to become invisble (OP spell, yes) and in the new game as companion it decided to be always invisible - but only in the open, not indoors. Needed a bit time to figure that out. *g*
By using the mod with the proper skyrim versoin and with the mentioned some minor limits it's just great - not to mention the awsomly immersive realisation!
Hello, I had it in my loading order in SSE. I have returned to nexus and I found out that they deleted it :( do you know anything about this? (I'm talking about the port to sse) and if there are possibilities of a new one.Anyway, I have a file left that luckily I didn't delete, 1.1.5, but I would like to know why it is no longer in sse and is still in oldrim
Good morning.I would like to know how to save his characters in Familiar face without keeping the Overwrite files. Here, because I noticed if we empty the overwrite, the character disappears. I try to create an empty mod where I put the files of the character save but even like that, the character disappears.
I love this mod. But I have an issue. Everytime I fast travel, a lifeless hero is at the spawn point. But I dismissed him already days ago. He answers me, but doesn't move at all. Other than that the mod was working nicely.
I keep getting "Missing texture file" errors. :/ I've tried using no makeup, no face paint, vanilla colors, even copied the dds file from racemenu over to the SKSE plugin but NOTHING is working. Does anyoe know how to fix this??
Didn't figure it out, but wanted to share. I understand Vert is dealing with IRL stuff, but until this mod is updated, I'd recommend Project Proteus + Nether's Follower Framework as an alternative. You can save your characters and load them into other saves as followers with PP and tweak them to your liking with NFF.
I met this issue before. It took me days to figure it out. I use RaceMenu, but when I installed BHUNP, the installer automatically installed ECE too. I guess Familiar Faces mod would try to make it compatible with ECE when its esp is found.
tldr; If you’re using RaceMenu, and there’s also an “EnhancedCharacterEdit.esp” in Data folder, go ahead and delete it.
