my moons looking with enb terrible... but not about youre textures its just this enb blurr the details have to workaround. Any Tipps here would be nice :)
make sure to turn dof up far enough or disable it - the sky looks blurry since its extremely far away with dof - if you tweak it a bit you can make the sky sharp, if you're okay with dof in the distance not working. I usually play with dof very far so the sky is sharp and when I take screenshots I tweak dof to my liking
i saw the mention of coming back to this and updating it for SSE....was that still happening or should we just use this version and your constellations without issue? These combined with always clear weather makes for wonderful werewolf and vampire plays.
It miss one dds on your mod compared to the bsa archive skyrim-textures.bsa. I note moonshadow.dds. Maybe it's why i could read some people get problems no ?
Started a new playthrough and was struck once again by how amazing the moons look now. I'm trying to think hard about something I could criticise, but the only thing I can come up with is that the stars should be visible behind the dark parts of the moons, given that they are hollow and fractured. Amazing work.
Hi , can you tell me what is going on with my sky ? and how to fix it ? i already using this mod , but i can't seeing any moon like your screenshoot in my sky ... can this mod combination with enhanced night sky ?
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/85/? when i'm combinion with this mod , that moon give my sky get bugged or we can't see a texture of that moon but we can just see a circle of that moon
Enhanced night sky only affects the stars, I'm not sure what's going on but it's definitely something on your side. Also, remember that sometimes there is a "new moon" in Skyrim that is just a black moon. Wait a couple of days for the moon phase to change possibly.
I've noticed that ever since I installed this mod my moons are transparent around the edges, minus a large dark circle behind the textures. Along the outside edges I can see stars through the moons.
UPDATE: I messed around with the textures a bit and I seem to have gotten the transparency issue to go away. I had to make the size of the "moonshadow.dds" circle equal to that of the full moon texture (doesn't matter which one) provided here, after I did that the issue went away. Apparently this mod makes your moons bigger in addition to making the textures more detailed. I tried removing the "moonshadow.dds" file that was in my game (probably installed from another mod), but that didn't change anything, next I uninstalled everything (the moon textures and the moonshadow.dds file) and that made the difference I was looking for, lastly I decided on a hunch to make the circle in the "moonshadow.dds" file the same size as the full moon texture (provided here) and reinstall this mod and that got rid of the issue.
Hope this helps someone else who is having the same trouble.
Hmm, this doesn't change the size at all, I traced the outline of the vanilla textures exactly 1 to 1. It sounds like you might have a plug-in that is altering the size of the moons (this can be adjusted via game settings.)
I never had any issues but I also don't have combinations of other sky/moon mods that could be conflicting. I'll look at the moonshadow.dds.
I have this as well. Mind sharing how you resized the moonshadow.dds file? Or just sharing the file itself? For the record, my moonshadow.dds file comes from Moon Glow. @fadingsignal, I suspect if you just package a properly sized moonshadow.dds with this mod, you could simply recommend Moon Glow as a sister mod, rather than modify your mod to have proprietary glow effects. (Unless you just don't like Moon Glow and/or want to do it yourself.)
Followup: I looked into it some more and figured out how to make the edit myself. It wasn't just to upscale the resolution; it was to increase the size of the shadow map relative to the resolution. I did that for myself -- it's not quite perfect, but it's miles better than it was before. I'll upload the before/after to the images for this mod if anyone is interested.
And in case anyone wants to download it, here it is: https://mega.nz/#!5chilLyA!dUvVyKPmH4gkRgJgr5iTAml8hkzrZ_x51NBkL2Z-klk I used the full moon Masser texture from Skygazer as a reference. The shadow should be the exact same size/shape. I'll upload a quick image to show how it looks. (EDIT - Nexus user image isn't working for me. imgur: http://i.imgur.com/Ne7Nfse.jpg)
This is great info, I made this 2 years ago when I very first got into Skyrim modding. I'm revisiting all of my Skyrim stuff for the upcoming Special Edition re-launch and will be refining this. Thanks again for the heads-up.
Thanks it is working now... very awesome Mod i love it to just have random Skys and sometimes i stop walking to appreciate your work Works perfectly with other night sky mods

This retexture is working just fine for me as is in SSE, and can be ported over.
